Chapter 14

"Please, be more reasonable!"
Fine!
We'll go to the nearest city, buy supply, equipment, resources and say goodbye to your friends. Then we'll go straight to the pond. "You're the boss!" says the priestess, smiling. She's up to something. Probably a plan to turn the tables against you. But you're no dumb critter. She better have a great plan, because you do.
"So...hum... you'll stay stuck to me?" Yes. You have no more clothes. And I don't trust you. The priestess took a few tentative steps. Wearing you as armor really felt like wearing nothing, which is a good thing if you're a magic based class, but it was still a bit shameful. Following your commands she recovered her things from inside a tree: a mace, a bunch of potions and some scrolls. Then you left.
In order to return to the city, you have to go through the canyon where you used to die. There you see many of your former kind being slaughtered by a bored higher level player. It doesn't anger you. That's their purpose and the only reason they live: to be killed. Now you're above that, now you're above everyone and everything.
The priestess walks slowly with her arms crossed, trying to hide her body from the other heroes. Some of them do whisper something to one another, some of them to wolf whistle, but none of them is capable of mustering the courage to approach a priestess with wooden armor (something very unusual). To her relief. But after less than 10 minutes you reach the end of the canyon. You see the very platform that, by shooting it, you were able to defeat your first kills, but you don't bother with the nostalgia and move on. From here, the opening to the canyon, you're able to see the nearest city. More like a village. And after other 10 minutes of walking, now in the plains, you finally arrive at the city.
Not even in your wildest dreams you ever thought you'd be able to see a city, much less to visit it. Even though the lights, houses, colors, the flowers, the smells and the voices are amazing to feel, the most surprising thing is the peace. People walk calmly everywhere without armors, weapons. They don't seem scared or even worried about having to fight. It feels good.
Given her superior experience, she walks you to a tavern. You pass by a few guards on the way that seem suspicious of your real nature. The priestess probably notices them as well but tries not to mind, thinking they were looking at her body. She seems more relaxed once you're inside the tavern. The reason is clear when she runs towards a group of 7 people on the corner. You recognize 2 of them: a hunter and a healer. You actually killed the hunter with your own hands. While you're focused on the hunter, the priestess goes to the healer girl and hugs her.
"By the Goddess, Jen! I was so worried! Where have you been?" the healer exclaims to Jen, your priestess.
"It's a long story! How are you guys?" Jen responds, trying to look as calm as possible. That calm fades away when she notices half the group looking at her body "This, hmm, my clothes were destroyed by a monster..."
The hunter intervenes "What? You were with a monster until now? Why didn't you call us? You made a spell specifically for that! We could have shared the xp!"
"More importantly, Jen" the healer says, judging the hunter's priorities with a **** stare "Are you ok? Did you defeat it?"
The priestess hesitates for a moment. You thought something like this would happen. Looking around you use Combat Analysis on the room.
23 enemies.
Without considering NPCs, characters with a level lower than 10 and critters, there were only 12 enemies, 3 of these in this very group in front of you.
From those 12, 8 of them seemed to be melee classes, but all of them used Blunt damage weapons, which you're immune to.
From the other 4, two of them were witches in a neighbor table, magic based. You have broken magic absortion, which meant they were useless.
The other 2 were the healer and the hunter in front of you. But they surely would not attack their friend.
After the analysis is done, your attention returns to the priestess. It took less than a second for you to notice that you could easily take on everyone here without even losing a single hit point, but it takes her much more than that to decide:

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
