Finding the Rancor

Lana: Still... We can't let it terrorise the locals... We must find it somehow!

Ranvi: Agreed!

Hondo: I agree too, master Jedi! Also, I have to say, I have absolutely no equipment to trace that beast!

Lana: How could that be? You found it once, you should be able to do it twice! Don't you have long range scanners on your ship?

Hondo: Oh, my dear lady, Hondo has everything on his ship! Problem is, even the scanner's signals are being jammed by us!

Ranvi: Sooo, deactivate it...

Hondo: Now that's not possible! The farmers might send out further distress signals! An army could be upon as in any moment! I won't risk my neck for these peasants!

Lana: You are of great help...

Hondo: Don't mention it!

Ranvi: I may be able to track it down...

Lana and Hondo: You could...?

Ranvi: I might sense it's life essence if I search the lifeforms of the planet. It is a big one, he shouldn't be too hard to find!

Lana: You never cease to amaze ma Ranvi!

Ranvi: You yourself have quite the useful skills too, Lana.

Hondo: Not to mention me!

Lana (turning back to your ship): You should stay out of this and be happy you might leave in one piece...

Hondo: Wait, master Jedi! I have an offer to give to you!

Lana: What could you possible offer?

Hondo: That big beast cost us a lot to find, capture and bring here... Should you be able to capture it alive, I could share some of my totally legally attained republic credits with you!

Ranvi (infuriated): Are you trying to tell me you want us to hunt the Rancor for you?! You couldn't even babysit a womp rat, not a Rancor...! You and your kind of people are the reason the galaxy's natural habitats are continuously being more and more endangered! Countless species die every day because vile, barbaric, traitorous, opportunistic intergalactic scums like you don't care about them at all and all you do is exploit them in any way you can!

Hondo: Ah, if you keep on with this, I might blush from all these flatteries! Hmm... Every situation has the potential to become profitable...! I'll double the price for this long monologue of yours!

Ranvi: It wasn't about the credits!

Hondo: Alright, I get it, everybody has a price, how about, 200 credits for the monster?

Ranvi: You are a terrible man! I am not doing business with you!

Hondo: Nobody should say I am not reasonable, let's say 400!

Ranvi (turning around and heading to the ship): You totally miss the point! Come Lana, I am done here!

Hondo: Okay, okay, 500! That is the last one you will get from me! I am already giving you way more that it is worth, do you hear me!?

Lana: And, don't you dare touch the locals! We'll be back and pay you back threefold should you do them any harm!

Hondo: Yeah, yeah, I get it...! Just bring me back my Ranor!

You fly away from the homestead and follow the Rancor's path of destruction before the tracks disappear in the endless plains. You land the ship and Ranvi goes out to meditate on the grass.

Ranvi (chanting): I am one with the ****, and the **** is with me...

Lana: Let me know when you find something!

She keeps sitting there for some time before she ultimately stands up.

Ranvi: I have him! He is near a cave a few kilometres Northeast of here!

Lana: Come, I'll drive!

Ranvi: Lana... What are you planning to do with it...?

Lana (thinking): Hm, 500 credits would come handy after all... But Ranvi would never forgive me for that! Maybe I can't even capture it alive...!

A Rancor is a huge predatory creature. They are native to a few planets, mostly they are captured by illegal activists who sell them off to underworld arenas and such places to tear everything apart in their way.

Ranvi: Wait a minute... There is a disturbance in the ****... I sense a...

Lana: I sense that too... But it is very strange... Like, an emptiness in the living ****. We should check it out before we find that Rancor.
