Finding a limit

Logan had spent the next few days figuring out just exactly what Fracture could and could not do. The first had happened quite by accident. The first night back home he had showered without much incident. Since Fracture could absorb organic matter and had changed Logan's natural scent, running water and a gentle scrub could keep him clean and healthy. Afterwards he went to put on some freshly washed and dried clothes. Within 15 seconds of putting on fresh boxers his skin started to twitch uncontrollably. Once removed things went back to normal. After some experimentation it seemed like the chemical methylisothiazolinone caused a painless but debilitating reaction. Bleach was a much more dangerous compound for him. Causing immediate and painful burns to his hand. Only after thoroughly washing his hand under warm water could Fracture begin to heal. Luckily Fracture could mimic fabric and gave him the ability to remain decent in public.

The next few "experiments" were quite intentional. When Logan and Fracture were in their merged form he was invulnerable to small caliber bullets and knife wounds. Even his eyes, which took a five minute pep talk from Fracture after Logan had stabbed/shot every other part of his body.

Next he wanted to check his regenerative ability. He couldn't bring himself to cause any wounds that could prove lethal, no amount of reassurance could override his wanting to live. All non-lethal wounds healed within seconds without leaving scars. The biggest dent was to his wallet. It took a dozen soft tacos from Taco Bell to keep his caloric needs up to par with his tests.

He already had a good grasp of his speed and endurance from having traveled just under 400 miles in 4 hours without nearing exhaustion. He stacked 2 frying pans on top of each other, rolled them into a metal cocoon before pulling them apart. One night he snuck into town to stack and unstack some dumpsters to gauge his strength. The only draw back was he needed to be in merged form to do any feats beyond regeneration.

After 5 days of experimentations and hours of very enthusiastic blowjobs, Logan and Chelsea had written up a rental agreement, moved all their personal belongings into a truck, and began the drive south to their newly acquired housing.
