Chapter 3 by Krakatowa Krakatowa

What will he do?

Finders Keepers, duh!

Arthur quickly looked up and down the streets.

When he was sure that nobody was giving him enough attention, he slipped the golden ticket into his jacket pocket and continued walking at a brisk pace.

His heart pounded with each step he took.

'This is not a theft,' Arthur told himself.

'I didn't steal anything. I just picked it up from the ground. As far as I know, it could have flown out of a trash can.'

It was a flimsy logic, but the temptation of finally getting a character of his own was too strong for him to turn back on.

Arthur immediately headed to the nearest taxi station and called for an uber.

In less than ten minutes, a black cab drove up from the corner and stopped in front of him.

"Where to?"

"Uh, can you get me to the nearest RealDreams shopping center?"

The taxi driver looked at Arthur through the back mirror and raised his eyebrow.

It was obvious that he was doubting that someone like him could ever afford to buy a character of his own.

Arthur swallowed and rest his back on the car seat.

He didn't want to brag about his golden ticket, just in case someone was actually looking for it.

When Arthur made it clear he wasn't going to spill the beans, the driver shrugged and turned his eyes back on the road.

His job was to take people where they wanted to go, not ask questions about their intentions.

"Can do. It'll take about 20 minutes."

"Thank you."

After the cab drove away, Arthur looked up at the RealDreams shopping center.

The building was easily the highest, biggest building he had ever visited in his life.

It towered over everything else, nearly blocking the sun even when it was hung high in the sky.

The outside of the wall was plastered with shots of half-naked girls taking various seductive poses with advertisements about sales and new moddings.

Just looking at the billboards was enough to make Arthur slightly hard.

The golden ticket kept preciously in his pocket felt more valuable than ever.

He no longer had to simply wish or dream of getting a character of his own.

Today, he was going to bring his dream into a reality.

What's next?
