Chapter 22

So what is Kim ACTUALLY up to? Or do we leave it a mystery for now and keep following Lucy?
Find out where Kim is...
The Carnegie building, one of the oldest on campus, had been designated as a strict ‘No Lucy’ zone. If the girl still had access to her ID card it no longer would’ve let her in, and everyone was under strict instructions not to let her go anywhere near the place.
Home to the Dean’s office and most of the senior administration facilities it housed a large meeting room that most on campus were now calling ‘The Lucy Carpenter Room’. Dean Eisner had designated it as a secure place to discuss Lucy without a risk of discovery and at that moment a few dozen members of the faculty, the Dean himself and Kim were gathered around the large table, deep in discussion. Behind them, a slideshow of photographs from Lucy’s website were being projected onto the wall.
“I have to stress that using manipulative techniques like this on an actual person would be incredibly unethical. But considering Lucy’s unique circumstances…” Doctor Searle, the head of the universities psychology department explained, his hands flitting through a bundle of papers in front of him.
“Please go on, Doctor,” Dean Eisner waved his hand to get the befuddled man to hurry, “We called this meeting so that Miss Wicks could get your professional opinion and as the girl’s roommate-”
“Um… I’m sorry to interrupt but, could we not use that word?” Kim stressed blushing, “It’s just, I’m sure some of you have pets at home and you wouldn’t consider them ‘roommates’…?”
There was a ripple of laughter before the Dean held up his hand in apology, “Of course, I meant to say that as Kimberly currently has Lucy, she’s going to be best placed to start her training without raising any suspicion – but she can’t be here too long…”
Kim nodded and turned to the rest of the room, “She thinks we’re still best friends, and I want to exploit that for as long as I can. Lucy thinks I've gone to Max's, which should keep her distracted, but she can be a handful.”
There was a ripple of murmured agreement before Doctor Searle coughed and continued.
“Well… Getting her to doubt herself and become more dependent on the memories of others is key,” he said as he adjusted his glasses, “For example, if she falls asleep wearing any clothing, it’s important to remove them. When she wakes up in the morning, if she questions it, it’s important you tell her that she stripped herself during the night. The more Lucy begins to believe she’s complicit in her own corruption, the easier it will be train her.”
“Oh that’s good,” Kim sat back with a devilish smirk, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Beyond that, her actual training should be administered simply through pain and pleasure. It’s a tried and tested technique and works on nearly all animals.”
Professor Morris smiled, “With punishment, reward and a firm authoritative demeanour you can domesticate anything – ethics aside.”
“Pleasure like…?” Kim started, her mouth hanging open a little.
Doctor Searle coughed, his face visually reddening, “Well, yes… Obviously Lucy has some ‘unique’ pleasure centers for a pet – but it’s going to be important when rewarding her for being good.”
“You want us to rub her pussy?” Kim blurted out, immediately regretting saying the word ‘pussy’ in front of the Dean of her university. But he barely reacted and Kim figured in Lucy’s case it probably wasn’t so taboo, “Sorry, I just don’t know how we could get away with that without getting caught.”
Doctor Searle nodded sagely, “To start with it’s going to be important to focus on training when she is impaired somehow, with **** or through exhaustion… or at times of high emotional stress… really any time that Lucy is likely to doubt her own memories would be a good time to acclimatize her.”
“Max got her drunk to get the collar on.”
“That’s a perfect example,” Doctor Searle smiled, “We want her to internalise the things happening to her as much as possible – ‘Gaslight’ her, so that when Lucy encounter’s any cognitive-dissonance, she self-justifies rather than questions it.”
“Make her feel crazy?” the Dean pressed.
“Not exactly but, she should doubt she knows what’s best for herself and become increasingly reliant on others… she needs to be broken of 22 years of bad habits and that has to start with some tough love…”
