Steven brings the case up to his room. Luckily his parents were out. The only person he’d have to worry about today was his sister. Man… if only this thing actually. Maybe he could make his sister less of a bitch. He opened his huge, walk in closet. Setting the case against the wall. It was a snug fit, but it actually looked good. A nice, wooden frame, a velvet interior, and a glass casing.

Though, as he looked at him, he saw that inside the case was a small slip of paper. Opening the case, he pulled it out and unfolded it. It seemed to be a small manual on how to use it.

‘The mentality pedestal is a large display case that makes a great edition to any home. The main purpose of this device is to transform the lives and personalities of whoever the user wishes. In order to do so, the user must first write the name of their desired target on the nameplate in chalk, as well as having a clear picture of the target in mind.

Next, they may place up to three items inside of the case. They may be any item as long as it’s able to fit within one slot. Each slot can hold about 2 cubic feet in volume (feel free to use any items you want.)

Upon placing an item inside of a slot and closing the case, the desired target will change in order to center their body and personality around the given item. The effects of the given items are not completely consistent, and may give varying results. You may use a combination of up to three, which can give varying results.’

Man, that woman was really all in on this. She must’ve thought it would sell better if it seemed more impressive. But before he left it in the closet, an aching thought pressed through his mind. “What the hell…” He thought to himself. “I may as well give it a try.”

He knew it was bullshit, but for some reason, he just had to give it a shot. He found a small piece of chalk in his garage, and walked back to the case. But what would he change first.

“If I could change anyone I want, who would it be…?” It took him less than a second to think of the answer. He quickly scratched down the name ‘Sarah Denvers’ on the nameplate. His sister.

Now what item should he put in…? He looks around his closet, thinking about what to try out…
