Find of the Century

The clinic is empty. But it is unlocked. No sound blaring from any of the backrooms. On the reception counter there is a sign standing up. “The Nurse is currently away. In case of an emergency phone ….” Followed by a number you suspect is Nurse Karlee’s phone number.

You ignore the office, and head to the back room. It’s unlocked.

In here are a couple of empty beds, more for patients to lie down on than to fall asleep in. There are cupboards, both at head height and on the ground. The ones with drugs in are all locked. But if your spy was right, then the cupboard holding the contraceptives is not one of those. It’s one of those on the ground, holding nothing valuable, just towels, and so not locked.

Move the tray of towels out. Check the back of the cupboard. Yes, it’s loose. You can push it aside, and there are three large bundles. All three are wrapped, but all three have been opened, although only one of them has contents removed. You pull out one. Yes, it’s a box of contraceptives. The same make as your spy produced, as you found in your classroom earlier in the week.

There must be over one hundred boxes in total. That’s a lot of contraceptives. The school would not like that.

But you need to consider what you want to do. You take several photos of the bundles. Then you replace the false back, and the tray of towels. Then leave, before anyone else notices you.

Decisions, decisions. What to do?

Tell Dr Stricture? That’ll lead to Karlee’s sacking. What she’s doing is illegal, probably immoral. Still, you have sympathy for her.

Confront Karlee? For what end? Do you want her to stop? Do you want her to continue? Do you want power over Karlee? Now you’re considering the immoral.

No time to act now anyway. Consider it over the weekend.
