Finally it's your turn to ask

Finally it seems like your turn to have a bit of luck, though you must've made it by far too obvious as both girls decide to drop out on the first raise...

"Does that mean I get one answer from each...?" You ask them, as you show them your low full house.

"I guess it would be most fair with both losers paying for their deposit..." Rachel admits, and Kate agrees that's how it should've been played from the start. "We ever only played this variant on two before!"

"Well, that means I'd be owing you both...?" You suggest, but they both just wave it away.

"We're not keeping count of past rounds!" Your housemate smiles at you, while your guest nods her consent. "So go ahead with the questions, John!"

"Very well then...!" You say and look to each of them, before settling to start with Rachel. For a moment you consider trying to ask some 'innocent' question just like they've been doing, just to see how they'll respond, but then decide not to try and meddle with their own little game within the game. So instead you opt for a more direct approach, like you'd had in mind from the start. "So... what happened the last time you were playing...?"

"Not fair!" Exclaims Kate, but with a sudden burst of laughter, before Rachel has even had the chance to reply. "You weren't supposed to be asking that!"

"But he did!" Rachel grins at her, and then turns her big and mischievous smile unto you. "You want the whole story, or just the basics...?"

"Just start with the basics..." You tell her, with a smug glance towards her friend - who's now pretending to be more offended than she actually is. "I've still got one more question for Kate after all, if I feel like I'm missing out on some detail!"

"That's just mean!" The blonde objects, though it's obvious that she's quite enjoying this turn of events. The previous game of questioning seems to have raised her spirits after all, and you guess her slender figure wasn't really built for the intake of **** either... "Don't you dare, Rachel!"

"Sorry, hon!" Rachel tries to apology, though failing miserably if she's even trying to make it sound like she means it. "It's part of the game, what can I say?"

"Well, it wasn't that spectacular anyway..." She continues, while turning back to you again. "She just lost this little game of strip-poker that we were playing, but decided it would be fun to continue playing anyways..."

"That was your idea!" Kate is again quick to object, and then takes another deep sip from her beer while Rachel choose to ignore her - possibly just to hide the fact she's getting embarrassed again.

"Let's just say she lost a little more than just her clothes..." Rachel winks at you, but then sighs as she throws a glance back at her friend. "Too bad she's not easy to get up while she's drunk though..."

"I guess I know that feeling..." You nod your head, as you can guess that the words 'getting up' in this case didn't involve the position of her body... "But I take it she wasn't entirely opposed to it anyways...?"

"I'll leave that for her to say!" Rachel just laughs at the question, and then lean herself backwards in the couch with a smug grin in Kate's direction. "If that's your question for her...?"

"Could as well." You agree, though you realize you've not yet had a complete answer to what happened between them. But that wasn't actually in your question to start with, and you decide you can hear about it later. "So, Kate... Was it really that bad to lose that game?"

"I..." The poor blonde just stutters for a moment, and her cute blush grows deeper again while your housemate raises a curious eyebrow at her. Whatever actually happened between them, it seems like Kate has been rather keen on keeping her true feelings about a secret. "Okay, fine! I kinda liked it, okay...?!"

"Well, okay?" You say, while Rachel says nothing at all, though you can't fail to notice that smug big smile on her face. It makes you feel a bit bad for Kate at first, but it quickly subsides as she seems rather happy to just leave it behind and keep going with the game at hand.

"I'll get you back somehow...!" She says to Rachel, who's allready starting to hand out the cards again...
