Mike smiled and said, “That’s great, Jaime. I was concerned for your job security.” Once again the two really were looking out for my wellbeing, which I greatly appreciate. He asked, “Do you know who the new boss is?”

I smirk and say, “I would say you know them extremely well.” Mike was racking his brain as I gave Josh a look and he immediately got what I was saying as he silently pointed to me. I nodded with a giggle as Mike said, “Damn, I’m stumped, bro. Do you have any idea who it could possibly be?” We both stared at Mike as he looked back and forth between us as Josh was subtlety trying to point to me. “Yes! You finally got it, Mike. I’m the new boss so congratulations are in order for me. Hold your applause,” I say with sarcasm. The two men actually started applauding, which made me blush for the unexpectedness of it. “I appreciate you both being good sports about my spectacle.”

“That’s amazing, Jaime. Well deserved for sure,” Josh said as he gave me his most professional hug. He was also good at not touching anything inappropriate.

Mike was quickly up and hugging me next. “Well seems like I need to call you boss lady now.” Mike’s hugs were definitely borderline dangerous as his hands tended to wander towards my ass whether he realized it or not. Mike suggested, “How about we treat you to lunch? My treat.”

Josh chimed in, “Oh hell yea! Let’s rack up a bill, Jaime.”

I chuckled and said, “Definitely won’t miss this. RIP Mike’s bank account.”

Mike seemed worried and asked, “Wait…where are we going?”

I linked my arm into both of theirs as I said, “A steak and **** is a must. As the new boss, I will allow it just this once.”
