Final Selection

Kiyotaka pov

Everyone had trained enough to proceed to the final selection, me Manjiro and Kei were currently saying goodbye to Kanae, Shinobu and Mitsuri, me and Manjiro was going with the others as assistance because our estate is that far away.

And Shinobu finally created a **** to turn a demon into a human but it only works on weak ones who didn't receive much blood like getting some blood in a wound, but after kissing goodbye and Kanae crying over Manjiro leaving we set out and met with the others.

"Kukuku, long time no see monster" "hello Ayanokoji" "HEY BRO" "hello guys, you look stronger" i said "nii-san who is that" "that's Ryuuen, Ishizaki, Albert and Ibuki" "hello Kiyotaka-kun" "oh hello Hiyori, how's it going" i said *i miss reading with her*.

"Good" she said "what about you" "it's going great thank you" i smiled "come on we are leaving" Manjiro yelled "don't run too long away, it's possible for demons to survive if they stay in the shades, and we are walking through a forest".

"Way to scare 'em Manjiro" i said and began walking with Kei and Hiyori by my sides and Ryuuen giving Manjiro a piggyback with Ishizaki and Albert by his sides, while we were walking we were talking about what colors their swords was going to get.

"I am pretty sure that Albert will get a grey sword for stone breathing" Manjiro said from Ryuuen's back "yea he does have the build" "what about me Kiyotaka-kun" Hiyori asked "you are properly going to get a blue blade which resembles water breathing because you are in a constant state of calmness".

"What do you think i will get Kiyotaka" Kei asked me, "i think you will get flower breathing like my sister's, because you resemble both Shinobu's aggressiveres and Kanae's calm and sweetness in one" i said "flower breathing would be quite cool" she said with anticipation.

"Hey Kouhai what does Manjiro use" said Nagumo who just caught up with Kiryuin and Nazuna "Manjiro uses mist, wind and sun breathing" "huh three different breathing styles what about the color of the sword" Nazuna exclaimed while Manjiro smirked and looked proud.

"His sword is greenish blue, you see mist is a descendant of wind who is a descendant of sun" "hmm and sun breathing is limited to your bloodline" Kiryuin said "yea moon breathing aswell" i answered "must be nice" Nagumo said.

"And the reason to why he is able to use sun breathing is because he can turn his sword bright red" Nazuna asked "yes it is" i said "but then wouldn't it be possible to use all breathing forms of you have the bright red blade" Manjiro stopped smirking and looked shocked.

"I've never tried" i answered trying to figure out if it would work "me neither" Manjiro called "but good idea it might be possible you are smart Nazuna" Nazuna smiled at him "what a cute brother you have Kiyotaka-kun" she said "that's right" i smiled and looked at my little brother, *wow even Ryuuen lets him ride his back*.

Manjiro pov

"Kiyotaka" Kei pulled nii-san's sleeve and looked horrified, he and i followed her gaze "everybody stop" i yelled "gather close together and stay right here or else your going to die" "that demon gives off an other vibe than the one on the school" Kei whispered, while nii-san began walking towards the demon.

"Luckily for us it's lower rank 4" i said to Kei, as nii-san pulled out his sword "lower 4 so it is the 7th strongest demon" "yes" i said "blue" Ryuuen said "so he uses water i guess it shows his calmness" "that's right" i said "now watch close this will be a good lesson".

"Nii-san" i yelled "try and turn your blade red and use something that isn't water or sun breathing, oh try love breathing and see if it is possible with a sword that isn't Mitsuri's" "alright i'll try" nii-san yelled back and gripped his sword as hard as he could.

"There it's turning bright red" Ishizaki said in awe as nii-san dashed forwards "Love Breathing First Form: Shivers Of First Love" he said as he cut the demon, slices grew all over the demons body but the head wasn't decapitated.

He turned around and jumped towards lower 4 again "Demon Blood Art: Poison Haze" a big cloud of poison shot towards nii-san who jumped "Serpent Breathing Fourth From: Twin-Headed Reptile" nii-san slashed trough the demon's neck and this time it turned to dust.

Everyone looked in awe when nii-san looked up and sheathed his sword "so that's the sun breathing mark huh" Horikita said "that was cool Kiyotaka" Kei yelled and jumped in his arms "what happened nii-san those strikes was weak" "weak?" everyone said.

"I used love and serpent breathing which seems to require custom swords, i think that's why that demon was weak after all, oh well lets get going" he said this time i was walking a little behind nii-san with Honami and her friends "your nii-san i really strong huh Mikey" Honami said "yes he is" i smiled.

And after walking for a couple more minutes we reached the final selection where Oyakata-sama's daughters told them about the final selection "Mikey" Honami whispered "why does the other demon slayer's swords have colors when ours don't have.

"We have you a special kind so you first will know your style when we get back, it's to train you in all areas instead of just agility or just strength" i said "i see" she answered "but don't they have an advantage then" "because they are stronger huh, maybe they are stronger but you are more" i said and then they were sent in.

Kei pov

I had just said goodbye to Kiyotaka and Manjiro before walking in the forest with demons, i had formed a big group with Honami and her friends Horikita and Sudo and Ryuuen, Albert, Ishizaki and Ibuki, also Sakayanagi and her gang *this should be sufficient, after all Kiyotaka very strictly told me "if you die i wont ever make pancakes to you again"*.

Honami-chan clapped her hands "alright everyone lets go make sure to be careful and call out if you see a demon" even Ryuuen and Sakayanagi followed orders, properly because of the seriousness of the situation but we walked further into the forest.

After walking for sometime we encountered some demons, one for each of us we all cut them down even Sakayanagi, *how is that possible isn't she physically handicapped oh yea Shinobu cured it* i thought to myself.

"Is everyone alright" Honami called "yes" people answered back, nobody had even been injured, "great, let's ace this test" all the boys yelled out in agreement, we girls giggled and followed them loudly making their way through the forest, then we all felt a strong pressure.

We all pulled out our swords and turned to the side, a big green demon with hands all over it's body appeared it looked at us for some time before attacking, we jumped to the sides while the ones in the middle had to block which sent them flying.

"Listen up" Ryuuen yelled "i hate to say it but to kill this one we need teamwork okay" "alright" we all agreed, and we made a circle around the demon and when ever the demon would attack we would pin the hands to the ground which was hard so we needed two people to do so.

But when Ryuuen and Albert went for the neck their swords didn't make if through it's skin and even more hands and arms grew from the demons arms, one of the arms made it towards me but i blocked and got sent into a tree.

While i was blacked out the others cut it's neck by pinning it down and making 4 people press their swords upon each others to apply more pressure to the neck to cut it and Honami came running and grapped me to help me walk, and that's when the test ended.
