Final Destination

(Note: This path operates in a universe where every important character throughout the series is alive, so everyone’s up to fuck! Also, every character is an 18+ version of themselves.)

“For our next story, we have a new system of concerning laws being put in place by the United States government.

“In the wake of a number of seemingly paranormal instances, in which one individual has experienced a seemingly psychic vision which lead to them leading one or more other individuals out of a deadly situation, the United States government is now creating new laws, giving new rights to those affected by or who have great knowledge of these events; this includes those who had the vision, those saved by the vision, and those with far reaching knowledge about the history or functions of these events, especially if they haven’t been a survivor of one themselves.

“These laws give ownership of any individuals saved by the survivors in any way, shape, or form, be it financially, from ****, or nearly anything else, so long as it isn’t one of these paranormal occurrences. This ownership gives full legal control of said saved individual over to the survivor, essentially stripping any rights the owner sees fit from their new ‘****’. The only ones who will be spared from this ownership are those under the age of 18, even if the theoretical owner is also a minor.

“Ownership of any individual is said to be able to be revoked with relative ease, using a system or via a government agency that is currently being created and straightened out; it can also be signed over to another individual afforded these rights with the same supposed ease.

“The reasoning behind these laws is to give survivors of these paranormal events more protection, due to the pattern of survivors being killed off in a strange and/or suspicious manner, seemingly in the order they were supposed to have died or been killed.

“These laws are supposedly meant to give those at risk a line of protection, giving the government more time to investigate them, their case, and hopefully find answers about what is truly happening. It’s unknown why those with extensive knowledge on the subject, without having experienced one of these events, would be given these rights, nor why the ownership over one’s ‘slaves’ extends past what would be needed for protection.

“It is unknown if these laws will be overturned, nor how it will affect everyday life for those who are taken as slaves.

Christ, that’s some dystopian bullshit. Before I can get too worked up over the whole thing, I feel myself starting to get tired. I check my watch, realizing that it’s already eleven at night. Fuck, it’s late. I should probably get in bed, huh? Without a second thought, I push myself off of the couch and get into bed, tiredness weighing down on me more and more with every step.

As soon as my head hits the pillow and I close my eyes, sleep starts creeping over me, pulling me deep into my bed. Darkness floods over me, as I slip quickly into sleep.
