The fighting branch is solely concerned on how to kill the Rapi, they know that fire is effective against them, but as they dont want to risk everything on one weakness they are also focused on finding new ways to kill Rapi. their projects range from the simple upgrading of weapons to hit harder or further or faster, down to the unethical use of soldiers as weapons, attempting to use viruses in females that are then sent to be deliberately captured by the Rapi to spread the virus to their forces... none of these experiments have panned out as the Rapi seem to adapt far too quickly to be taken down by this tactic.
