Fight. Rebecca is the trump card.

Sagus seemed a bit shaken by the confirmation of the being's identity, but he quickly regained composure. He turned back to his team. "Alright, it's the ol' near-and-far play. Ready?" The girls nodded. "Then let's GO!" Sagus and Sophie rushed Sharcha, Sagus with his sword out and Sophie pulling out a piece of metal she sharpened with alchemy. They screamed loud warcries, causing only chuckles from their opponent.

Sharcha, to the team's dismay, was ambidexterous, meaning he could fight Sagus and Sophie at the same time easilly. The clashing of steel on steel echoed throughout the town, as the last few people on the road ducked into various buildings. Sharcha laughed. "Can't a pair of mages do better than this? Maybe you both should've studies how to fight instead of learning little tricks." Despite his confidence, two decent sword-swingers would be hard for anyone, and Sharcha had to back up slightly.

Rebecca aimed her crossbow. "Not yet.....not yet..." she muttered.

Marianne watched the fight, hoping with all her spirit for her friends' safety. If she could use her skill, she could turn the battle in their favor, but they were so close to the town. Using it would be disasterous, maybe even moreso than if Sharcha were allowed into town. No, not maybe. Certainly.

"Not yet.....not yet....NOW!" Rebecca pulled the trigger on her crossbow, firing the bolt. This however was not a normal bolt. Sophie had treated it especially for something like this with her chemicals. This bolt was lightly covered in kerosene. The arrow hit it's mark, Sharcha's right eye, going in almost all the way. If his face hadn't been so long, it would've killed him then and there. No problem, though. As he screamed, Sagus leapt at the opportunity. His lips ran quickly and silently.

"SPARK!!" A small jet of fire came from his hand and made contact with the bolt, igniting it. The flame travelled fast down the shaft and into Sharcha's brain. He gasped, groaned and fell.

Sharcha was defeated.
