Ferris Wheel

In Kyle's mind, there was nowhere more romantic than riding the Ferris Wheel. He'd time the arrival so they'd be at the top of the Ferris Wheel right around sunset. This would definitely make Tanya swoon without influence.

It was the first spin of the day for the wheel and the couple got into line just in time to be the last car. They squished in together and Kyle put his arm around Tanya. Tanya smiles and snuggles up close to her crush.

"Okay, folks, remember to keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times. Have fun!" And with that, the Ferris Wheel starts up. Tanya rests her head on Kyle's shoulder as they make the first ascent. And as soon as they reach the top the whole thing comes screeching to a hard stop. Tanya and Kyle both shriek as the wheel briefly lurches. They look down and, sure enough, they're at the very top of the Ferris Wheel. "I-I don't think this was supposed to happen," Tanya says to Kyle.

"Sorry folks," a voice comes over the intercom. "It seems the old wheel is having some technical difficulties. Our maintenance crew is coming to have a look, so please be patient."

There's groaning all around as the riders come to understand the situation. Kyle touches Tanya's hair "aw heck, this isn't so bad. I'm stuck with the prettiest girl in school at the very top of a Ferris Wheel at sunset."

Tanya smiles at Kyle's statement. She really was the prettiest girl in school. And she leans in to kiss him. Kyle is still surprised when she kisses him, but he's getting better at containing the shock and kissing back. Tanya pushes her tongue between his lips, hungry to kiss her crush. Kyle reciprocates. Their tongues dancing with one another. He gets brave and slides a hand inside her jacket - his jacket that Tanya Wegner is wearing! And he comes in contact with the skin left uncovered by the overalls.

Tanya was eager to kiss but she wasn't ready for that sort of contact. She had a crush on Kyle but she wasn't about to let him get fresh in public. "Kyle, wait..." she starts but Kyle mindlessly cuts her off saying "it's okay, Tanya" not realizing in his cloud of endorphins that the simple statement violates his "Don't Influence Tanya" rule. Tanya relaxes, it is okay and allows Kyle's hand to explore her exposed side as they continue making out.

The kissing stops when the intercom startles the two with an update: "Brief update. We can definitely fix this thing but we need to wait for a part from the maintenance shed. It'll be about 20-30 minutes to get the part and replace it. Those of you on the lower cars, we can help you out, but, really sorry folks at the top. You'll need to hang tight. We'll fully refund your entry fee and give you a pack of free ride and meal tickets once we get you down. We'll update you if the situation changes."

Kyle sighs. He was happy to keep making out with Tanya, but he really wanted to walk around the fair so he could be seen with her. Maybe win her a stuffed teddy bear, so she'd be impressed by him. Kyle really wanted her to naturally like him. He gazes in to her eyes. She licks her lips clearly wanting to keep making out. He has a brief crazy idea of asking her to be honest with him about whether or not she could have feelings for him - like for real feelings. He's nervous about asking her flat out because he's scared of the answer, but surely outside of her circle of popular friends, she can't be that awful. She used to be really sweet before high school.
