Fenced-in

"Where do you want these?"

Walt looked up at Jen with poles over her shoulder. "Just a little off to side of right there's good. Thanks!" He walked over to join her with his blue print and a water bottle for her which she gratefully took.

"You're welcome and thank you," she said opening the bottle and taking a drink. "How's it looking?"

Walt nodded smiling. "Not bad I think." He pointed to the plan he'd made and then started gesturing. "We'll fence this area off from here to over there next. That'll give us several pastures to work with. The real issue is..."

Jen followed his gaze. "Yeah. I'm no expert but even I can tell the barns have seen better days."

Walt nodded putting the plans away. "Actually we're lucky in away. They built them real good in the old days and they're far enough away from the mainhouse they've escaped it's fate of being destroyed several times. But unlike the house having them "fixed" by Krakoa isn't going to cut it. The goats and pigs will just eat their way out of it if doesn't get a proper fix."

"Da," Said Piotr Rasputin coming over with Logan to join them. "It is a big problem. We can build fences and pens easily but have limited experience with barns."

Walt smiled. "Thankfully Logan has a little and I have a lot. This one's in tough shape but fixable... that one however isn't. It's not safe for people or animals and requires a complete rebuild... but we might be able to salvage some of it for later and the foundation is pretty good. Piotr, Logan you guys think you can take it down while salvaging materials to fix the other one?"

Piotr smiles and Logan nods. "We can do that but..." he smirks. "But it won't be as easy as our usual tear down jobs... might get a bit thirsty..."

Walt nodded and winked. "I already have Jubes getting us some beer and not just "water". My treat."

Logan grinned and fist bumped Piotr. "Alright big guy. We got us a tear down job. I hack 'em, you stack "em?"

"Da, sounds good to me!" Piotr said smiling. They star walking towards the dilapidated barn. "We should start at the top. Want me to "fastball special" you to the roof?"

Logan shakes his head. "Are you nuts? Look at the thing. I'd likely go right through it. Just give me a toss when we get over there..."

Jen shook her head. "I guess I'm with you then."

Walt smiled. "You sure? I don't mond if you want out. You've done plenty."

Jen laughed. "This was barely a sweat! You mark and I'll plant the poles. I can handle that much!"

Walt nodded. "Alright. Thanks Jen! It'll go quickly with help."

It really did go quickly with the two of them working together. Jen smiled as Walt worked as hard as she did but was quite comfortable with utilizing her strength. The help he offered her was the technical kind from years of experience doing the job. Jubilee came and dropped of a cooler of beers before heading back to watch Shogo and prepare lunch.

"Must be a step down for you, huh?" She asked as they started connecting the fencing.

Walt shook his head smiling. "Believe it or not I love this." He pushed his hat back. "Fencing is one of the least glamorous jobs and granted I'm more used to being a cattlemen than a farmer... but it's a job that needs doing. An important one like all jobs are. Back home I'm a big shot "Boss"... but this? Working with my hands? This is work that makes me happy."

Walt looks at her smiling. "If anything I feel bad having a great kegal mind like yours running fence. I'm sure you'd rather be out there making a difference in a courtroom or as a hero."

Jen shrugged. "Well a courtroom is the last place I want to be right now until my names cleared. Besides," she looked at him as he bent down fixing the fence to the pole. Walt wasn't hard on the eyes. He was a good looking guy generally especially with how fit he was... but happy like this? *Fuck he's hot and handsome!* she thought. *Save a horse, ride a cowboy!* "This isn't so bad," she said. "I'm enjoying this farming thing!"

Walt laughed. "You say that now but wait! You might feel differently when we're cleaning up after them." He shrugged. "Then again you might not. It's different strokes for different folks. Back home I known a few Diana's who love being Cowgirls. If Amazon princesses can learn to love the life maybe She-Hulks can too..." Walt pictured Jen in a cowboy hat, boots and jeans. "Damn that's a pretty picture..."

"What is?" Jen asked smiling radiantly.

*Good god she's a knock out as is!* he thought. *Get a hold of your horses!* Walt cleared his throat. "Sorry... I just got distracted with a stray thought is all-"

Jen smiled. "You thinking about this Cowgirl Amazon you mentioned?"

Walt shook his head. "Nope."

Jen narrowed her eyes and widened her smile. "You were thinking about a cowgirl though?"

Walt pursed his lips and nodded. "Yep."

Jen laughed. "One back home... or one here perhaps?"

Walt sighed. "Not gonna let it drop?"

"Nope," Jen said intentionally copying him. She noticed his blush.

Walt nodded and looked at the cooler of beer. "Thirsty?"

"Yep," she said copying him again thinking. *If you only knew! Hearing you fuck the others and make them cum over and over and then them talking about it is damn hot!*

Walt nodded. "Let's take a break then finish up."

"Sounds good," Jen agreed. "But only if you answer the question."

Walt paused and looked at her. He could tell she knew. She was saying she wanted to hear him say it. "... yep." He put away tools. "You a beer drinker, Jen?"

She smiled joining him and opened the cooler pulling out two bottles. Walt watched her look directly at him as she pulled up her shirt revealing her beautifully sculpted belly. She placed one bottle down to her pelvis drawing his eyes and opened the bottle cap suggestively... with her bellybutton. "Among other things," she said handing it to him.

Walt smiled and took his hat off accepting the bottle with a wry grin. "Thanks," he said.

She opened her own her eyes twinkling as she grinned too. "You're welcome." *Oh that got him!*

They sat down and clinked their bottles together and took a drink. The ice cold beer felt as good as it tasted on the hot summer day.

Walt set his hat down brim up to catch a little luck. He played with his bottle a little before he answered. "I thought about you." He took a sip.

Jen smiled. "I knew it." She took another sip. "What were you thinking about me exactly?"

Walt took a longer drink. "How good you'd look as a Cowgirl..."

Jen enjoyed his blush... she enjoyed teasing him. Was he shy? "I take it you weren't thinking about the kind of sexy little outfits with the jersey print, horns and tails with a cowbell?"

Walt paused and she watched him blush more... and then laugh. He laughed deeply and shook his head then turned to look at her smiling that handsome smile looking into her eyes as he said, "Well I wasn't until just now!"

She said, "Moo," making him laugh more and joined in laughing too. They laughed together long and hard in the sunshine. They both settled down and took another drink together. She reached over and picked up his hat and set it on her head. "Well?"

Walt swallowed and then slowly grinned. "Guess, I was right... Wow..."

Jen felt flushed as he looked at her. It wasn't just lust... his gaze never left her face. He genuinely thought she was lovely. She watched him swallow hard and force himself to stop staring. *He's not shy at all... he's a gentleman.* "You can look at me if you want to, Walt. I don't mind. I... I like the way you look at me."

Walt did. She was blushing now. "Alright. I like looking at you, Jen. I jest... I know you get stared at a lot... hard not to beautiful as you are... but yer a friend so... I didn't want you to be uncomfortable."

Jen smiled. "That's sweet... I gotta admit I like looking at you too." She bit her lip doing just that playing with her shirt. "I'm sure you've heard the stories..."

Walt swallowed and tugged at his collar. "I don't pay attention to rumors-"

"They're true," Jen said. "I'm not shy about going after what I want and-"

"No," Walt said.

Jen blinked. "No?"

Walt sighed and nodded. "I want to... but, uh... as much as I'd like that Jen we can't..."

Jen frowned now. "And why the hell not?"

Walt sighed. It was just like Demona all over again. "Because you have to talk it over with the others-"

Jen smiled. "Oh, yeah that's already been done!"

"-first," said Walt blinking. "Oh uh...sorry," he blushed. "That's different then... uhm, and they said?"

Jen grabbed him firmly and pulled him to her. "Yes," she said and kissed him. His lips were surprisingly nice and she startled feeling his arms wrap around her. His kisses were just as sweet and growing in passion quickly to match hers! She broke away panting. "Sorry I just got carried awa-mmmph!"

He was kissing her so intensely! It made her shiver with delight! He wanted her as badly as she wanted him! He wasn't as strong as her... but his kisses left her weak and-

Now Walt stopped. "S-Sorry I also..."

Jen bit her lip smiling. 'Seems were both feeling the same!"

Walt grinned nodding. "Seems so!" He looked around. "Probably not the right time or place for that but..." he brushed her hair back. "I like you, Jen. A lot!" He cleared his throat. "Could I ask you out on a date sometime?"

Jen blinked then laughed. "Yes, you silly man!" She grinned and kissed him sweetly. "I take it you'd like to do this properly then?"

Walt nodded and kissed her back. "I do... I want you... obviously, so... but if you're willing to wait?"

Jen blushed. "You're turning down a free no strings romp for a... romantic date?"

Walt nodded.

Jen looked at the 4th wall. "How do I say "No" to that?" She turned back to Walt sitting up. "Alright... a date... I have no idea where you would tske a wanted woman but you should probably... make it soon?"

Walt nodded. "I promise... soon... very soon!"

She kissed him and put his hat back on his head. "It's a promise then, Cowboy... but when the time comes you better saddle up and ride hard!"

Walt grinned. "Boy howdy! Yes, ma'am!"
