What's next?

Felicity Hardy, the Night Cat

Gwen's jaw hit the floor. After years of adventuring as Ghost-Spider, not much surprised her anymore. Finding out her on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend had a twin sister, though, hit her like a freight train. "You have a TWIN SISTER?!"

Felicia could not wipe the grin off her face even if she'd wanted to. "Did I not mention that to you before? It must have slipped my mind. My bad, Gwennie."

"What is going on here? Why *didn't* you ever mention her to me? Where have you been hiding her? Is this some sort of Mysterio-induced hallucination? Am I finally going insane? And WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Gwen said, still utterly stunned.

"We're thieves. We don't exactly go around broadcasting each other's existence," Felicia explained. "Felicity just moved here."

"That's right," Felicity said as she began to tell her story. "For the past few years, I've been operating out of Chicago. When Felicia & I began our careers as thieves, we decided it'd be best to start out on our own. But we always knew we'd eventually start up the family business again."

"Uh-huh. Please tell me that your "family business" is a charming little Italian restaurant in Midtown..." Gwen groaned.

"Ha! That's actually not a bad idea. Maybe we'll do that once we raise the startup capital for it," Felicity chuckled.

"Come on, Spider. You know me. I'm a thief. Felicity's a thief. You know the kind of thief I am -- who I steal from. Felicity's the same way. We can help you," Felicia said. "...and I've been thinking about you a lot, lately. Maybe it's time to rekindle the romance?"

"That seems like a really bad idea," Gwen answered. "Then again, I'm prone to making bad decisions, sooooo..."

"So you're interested?" Felicia asked hopefully.

Gwen awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck. "I can't say I'm not. But I've got a lot on my mind right now -- that conversation's going to have to wait."

"Might as well throw my hat in the ring now... you've got my interest too, Spider. Felicia, I hope you don't mind a little competition."

"Ooooh, some competition. This'll be fun!" Felicia said delightedly.

"Great. A competition. I feel like I'm a human caught between an Alien and a Predator," Gwen mentioned. "Whoever wins, I lose."

"Tsk. So cynical, Spider," Felicia purred. "I think I can guarantee that this'll be a win-win scenario for all of us."

"Me too," agreed Felicity. "After all, we don't mind sharing, do we, Felicia?"

Felicia nodded, an amused smile on her face. "Not at all. Trust me, Spider, this'll be fun. Well, it's been great catching up, but I think it's time for this kitty to curl up in her bed and get some sleep. Before I go, could you do us a favor and take that mask off? Felicity's been dying to get a look at your face."

Gwen shrugged and accepted the request. "Sure, might as well. Sooner or later I get the feeling she's going to see me unmasked, anyway."

Gwen unmasked, and a very pleased smile crossed Felicity's face. "Mmmmmmmm. You're even more gorgeous than I thought. I look forward to seeing even more of you really soon."

"So long, Spider. We'll see you around," Felicia smirked, blowing Gwen a kiss before she and her twin sister disappeared into the night. Gwen slipped her mask on again before shooting out a webline. She began swinging, her mind still reeling. It looked like things were going to get a little more frustrating for her... and a lot more fun.

What's next?

More fun
