What's next?
Felicia and Selina meet another Kitty
Felicia and Selina met up with Batgirl in an alley several blocks away from Noonan's bar. When they found Barbara waiting for them, they found that she wasn't alone -- standing there with her was another costumed vigilante, a pretty brunette that sparked the thieving couple's curiosity.
"Black Cat. Catwoman. Good to see you both, and thanks again for the flash drive," Barbara began.
"Anything for you, gorgeous," Catwoman answered back. "Sounds like whatever you found was important... but before we begin, I have to ask, who's your cute friend here?"
Barbara continued, "I was getting to that, actually. This here's my new partner. She goes by the name Shadowcat."
"Nice to meetcha both," Kitty smiled, extending her hand to the pair of thieves. "Babs tells me I don't need to keep up the secret identity with you two, so I might as well fully introduce myself -- my real name's Kitty Pryde."
A wide grin crossed both Felicia and Selina's faces. "Kitty, huh?" Selina purred, shaking Kitty's outstretched hand. "Love the name. I'm Selina."
"And I'm Felicia," the Black Cat said playfully, giving Kitty's hand a gentle squeeze. "As you might've guessed, my girlfriend and I love cats... so I have a feeling we're going to love getting to know you, too."
Kitty blushed and smiled bashfully. "Uh, yeah. It's cool meeting you two," she replied, a little flustered by the flirty thieves' demeanor. "So Babs tells me you two can help us out with this whole League of Assassins/Hand business..."
"Oh, that's right. We have business to discuss," Selina said, teasing disappointment in her voice. "We'll just have to get to know each other later. So, Felicia and I were discussing all this last night, and as it turns out, this Elektra that Talia's apparently after is an acquaintance of hers."
"That's right," Felicia confirmed. "Elektra & I have made the same enemies in the New York underworld over the years, so I guess you could say that we're friends."
"How much do you know about her day job?" Barbara inquired.
"I know that she's really, really good at it, and that you do not want to get on her bad side," Felicia continued. "She's made a ton of enemies in New York's underworld. Kingpin, Hammerhead, the Owl... they've all wasted a lot of muscle trying to take her down."
"...And now she's in Talia's crosshairs," Barbara mused. "Murdock told me that Elektra has an unpleasant history with the Hand, as well. Sounds like they'll be stepping up their efforts to take her out."
"Do we really need to worry about that though?" Felicia asked. "As I said, Elektra's got plenty of enemies. The Hand -- and plenty of others -- have sent plenty of hired guns after her, and they've all ended up in body bags. I honestly feel worse for whoever they're sending after her."
"Personally, I'd like to keep the body count to a minimum," Barbara countered. "And from everything I've gathered, it sounds like Talia really, really wants to take Elektra out... she's not one to give up easily."
"So you want to talk to her... try and convince her to disappear for a while," Felicia deduced. "Yeah, good luck with that. I mean, I can try, but I feel like that conversation's only gonna get me stabbed..."
"Not exactly. I think she'd be more help in finding out what Talia & Co. are up to and putting a stop to it," Barbara explained. "Preferably with as little bloodshed as possible."
"Ah. Well, I think I can help convince her to do that. I'm not sure she'll take to the 'minimal bloodshed' idea kindly though, especially since the Hand's involved... but I'll see what I can do there," Felicia offered.
"Really? You'll help? Just like that?" Kitty asked her.
"What can I say? Selina and I both have a soft spot for Kitties like yourself," Felicia answered, smirking mischievously at Kitty and causing her to blush again.
"Which is why you can count me in, too," Selina added. "This sounds like fun."
"So, Mr. Wilson, do we have a deal?" Talia asked.
Slade Wilson crossed his arms and nodded in agreement. "We do. On my end, I kill Elektra Natchios and deliver the body to you. But remember, in addition to the standard payment, you also stay away from my daughter. Leave her out of whatever you're planning on doing to these assassins, mercenaries, whoever else you're targeting."
"You have my word," Talia nodded. "Remember, you may kill Ms. Natchios in any way you see fit, as long as the body is kept intact..."
"...That won't be a problem," Slade told Talia. "Just stay away from Rose. Break your word, and I'll make you regret it."
