Feelings

You stand and face Doe, looking into her eyes.

"...What is it?" She asked, unsure of your demeanor.

"I just wanted to make sure you're ok with this, that this would make you happy. Because that's one of the things I really wanted, is for you to be happy."

"John..."

"No, see, I just want to get this off my chest. It's why I've never said anything in the past when you were with any of your boyfriends or your husband - because you were happy. It doesn't have to be with me, or it could if that's what you want. But... as long as you're happy I wouldn't interfere with anything. I just love you so much."

"John... I..." For a moment Doe just looked at you, unsure of what to say. Truthfully you would never say this to her if she was with someone else, you would never want to hurt her chance to be happy in life. "But... what's the other thing you really want?" She asked in a quiet voice, it being thick with her accent.

"That... is a secret. ...For now."
