Feeling Develops

Once inside the wrought iron gate. The carriage was brought up to the entrance Prince Char used to come and go from the castle. The two guards and Slannen were made to carry the slumbering Ella to Char’s chambers, place her in the middle of the wide bed and made to leave.

The guards showed Slannen to acceptable quarters then returned to their quarters. Char carried the saddle bags from Ella’s horse, placing them on a chair just inside the room’s door.

When alone Char stood at the left side of the bed watching Ella’s chest rise and fall as she breathed. Something inside his chest began to tingle and as if under a spell, he reached out and traced Ella’s face. Inside his inner voice told him that he could do anything to Ella and he could get away with it just by telling her to forget everything but for some reason, Char chose to ignore the voice.

As gently as possible, Char leaned in and shook Ella until she came too. Her eyes shot wide, seeing the form before her. A quick scan around and she pulled away from Char and tried to scoot to the other side of the bed.

“Who are you and where am I?”

“You are in my father’s castle along with what I took from your horse, who is in the royal stable being attended to!”

Ella spotted the saddlebags and began to relax. Taking a few steps towards them and surprised when Char remained where he was by the bed. Going the rest of the way to the chair Ella, reached out and opened the right bag and gave a slight astonished sound after looking into the bag,

“It’s still there!”

Char spoke up, “Of course it’s still there, I’m not in the habit of rescuing females in the woods only to take something from them!”

Something in the back of her mind tingled, as if she had proof that that statement was an outright lie! Closing the saddlebag, moving back towards the bed, Ella looked at Char and felt something begin to tingle in both her heart and her lower body. Not sure why Ella decided to remain quiet about it!
