Faye comes over to plead for Agatha

You’ve just sat down to relax when the doorbell rings. It’s Faye.

“Hello neighbour, how can I help you?”

“Can I come in?” You gesture she can. Then you offer her a drink. When she says yes, you put the kettle on. Only after you’ve made tea does she explain.

“I’ve come to talk to you about Agatha. I know you don’t have the money to employ her to the level your mother did. Agatha’s told me that. But don’t you have enough to employ her some. The bills St Perpetua’s charge, they must be paying you a decent wage. Just half the time she was on before would be a big help.”

“I don’t know,” you begin.

Faye holds up a hand to stop you. “Can we go into the garden? I want to show you something. Something Agatha discovered.”

You let Faye lead you into the garden. She heads past the first flower bed, to where the lawn covers the entire width of the garden. She goes directly to the fence separating your garden from hers. She passes you the cup of tea. Then she grasps the nearest panel and effortlessly lifts it up and slides it aside. You’re looking straight into Faye’s garden, which is primarily lawn and trees. There’s one flower bed, looking worse for wear in the autumnal way. The gap she creates is large enough for you to step through.

“So, I could sneak into your garden.”

“Or I could sneak into yours. Agatha says she can fix it, but it’ll cost.”

One look at the buxom redhead and you’re not opposed to either of those ideas. {if Brianna = 5} Come to think of it, that would be ideal to sneak Brianna into your house, without any of the other neighbours seeing.{endif}

“If you don’t like it, why don’t you get her to fix it?”

“Look at the deeds, it’s your fence, on your land.”

She slides the panel back and then reclaims her cup of tea. The two of you head back to the kitchen, where Faye continues her appeal for Abigail. Not stridently, just with an insistence and a degree of logic. You refuse to fold. That’s not easy. An attractive woman pleading for another attractive woman is very persuasive. Unfortunately, your bank balance is even more persuasive.
