Fake name

"L... Lana!" Lauren said.

She had almost slipped up said her name, barely catching herself in time to give a fake one. She cringed, terrified Mark would recognize her. Instead he just smiled calmly.

"Lana! That's a pretty name!" He said, patting her on the head. "Well Lana, you just stay right here with me and I'll make sure we find your mommy."

Lauren bit her quivering lip. Her knees were knocking together from nervous, embarrassed strain. Being talked down to like this by her crush was utterly humiliating! Worse, she had to allow it and lean into it or else risk exposing her true identity to him!

While Lauren agonized over her embarrassing reality Mark pulled out his phone and made a call. Meanwhile Helen leaned down to face Lauren.

"Don't be scared sweety, everything's going to be just fine..." She said.

Lauren made a sour face. Everything wasn't fine you old bat, she was wearing a diaper in front of her crush! How could things get any worse?
