Face things head on

"Jan, I think this is a bit too far. It's... just not normal!"

Jan thinks a moment, as your girlfriend's body is still stuck to you like glue at Jan's command. But eventually, Jan seems to tug on her spectral leashes, pulling Jane away by a few steps to stand at attention before you. "I can make things normal, I promise! So normal, that the average person in the city wouldn't know a single thing. My spectral abilities are really very profound and I can do more than just move someone. I'll show you!"

Before you could say another word, Jan dove into Jane's body, causing her to stumble forward by a few steps. After some jitters and spasms, Jane relaxed, returning slowly to her attention pose. Her eyes closed, and her face relaxed.

And then her face began to change.

You weren't sure what you were watching, but each feature on Jane's face seemed to twist and morph, briefly looking extremely inhuman before snapping back into place in to more normal shapes again, and her hair flared out like she was facing a gust of wind. The hair seemed to lighten in color as it flapped in the artificial breeze, taking on a recognizable blond color.

By the time her face and hair had settled, you were no longer staring at Jane's face. Instead, Jan's face smiled back at you, exactly as you remembered! There was no sign of your girlfriend's facial features at all, like her head had been entirely lost.

"There, isn't this better?" Jan continued to smile, her voice sounding as she always did as well, so she had gone so far as to modify everything from the neck up, it seemed. Jan twirled about in front of you, as your girlfriend's body could only comply with her ghostly captor.

You shook your head. "Jan, this is too far..!"

"NO!" Jan clenched her hands into fists and scowled, and you felt a burst of energy radiate from her body, as it knocked your furniture around and opened all the drawers and doors in your kitchen and bedroom in one single pulse. Jan looked up, seeing your shocked face and everything that she did, before she seemed to briefly regain her humanity. For a moment, she seemed to recognize how different this astral form had made her behave, and how she wouldn't have ever acted like this in the real world.

"...please..." Jan said, almost on the verge of tears. "Jane entered my body and made me behave as if I were at my worst. John, all I ask for is... let me stay in her body and make her behave like she is at her best. Let me stay like this for a day, and show you the best day I can, before you make any further judgments about if I'm a monster or anything. I don't want to be a monster! I want to be your companion, I want to be close to you, to be WITH you, and give you only happiness."

Jan looked up again, resting her borrowed hands atop her hips. "Maybe I didn't stand much of a chance before because Jane had the body you were most attracted to, even if her behavior and attitude are sometimes difficult to deal with. I've heard the fights, the walls aren't soundproof... and over silly things too, things with so little meaning. John, this might be my only chance to show you who I am, using the only body you'll pay attention to. Give me one day to convince you."

You had to admit, the girl before you actually was more attractive to you now than she was when Jane's head was atop it. Not that Jane didn't have a pretty face, but Jan's was downright beautiful. And her attitude and personality definitely were easier to get along with...

You held up a finger, trying to sound assertive about your decision. "One day, you don't put a scratch on that body, and you respect whatever answer I give you at the end of it without question."

Jan nodded with a smile, brushing away a tear as she hurtled toward you, wrapping her curvaceous stolen body around you in a hug!

You almost felt bad that you were almost certain that you would be telling her to leave Jane's body by the end of the day, even if you had a good time. You simply couldn't let go of the fact that your girlfriend was locked away inside her own body as someone else controlled it for their--and your--pleasure. For that certainty to change in your mind, Jan was going to have to move mountains.
