"Ah, Courtney!" Spoke the head of the adventurer's guild, a grey haired, mustached warrior named Fitz. "I'm glad you have returned so hastily. We have much need of your strength of arms!"

"Indeed sir?" you ask, striding towards him through the grand hall.

"Indeed! Dark days rise. The elven sorceress Lillith has returned!"

Your eyes widen. They were all raised on tales of the dark elf witch's war on the free folk of Fantasia. She was legendary in her cruelty. But you had a duty as part of the adventurer's guild.
