Realizing The Combat Potential of NewTypes and Mobile Bits, HRL Engineers Exploited The Advanced Mental Capabilities of NewTypes to improve The Flash System, which allows Mental Remote Control of Bit Mobile Suits such as The GX-Bit. The GX-Bit is Designed Exclusively for Use by The Elite of NewType Pilots who are able to Control up to 12 Units Simultaneously for Combat Support. However, Even The Best NewTypes can only Maintain Control over The Mobile Bits for so Long Before Their Mind Begins to Weaken.

Although The Exact Number of GX-Bits Built is Unknown, Several of Them were used During The Last Battle between The HRL and The AEU. For Overwhelming Firepower, The 12 GX-bits can all Sequentially Charge their Satellite Cannon for Coordinated Long-Ranged Attacks.

Armaments:

• Shield Buster Rifle: The GX-Bit's Main Armament. The Shield Buster Rifle is a Unique Weapon that can Instantaneously Transform from a Beam Rifle to a Shield and Back Again. A Shot from The Beam Rifle Mode is Strong Enough to Cause Serious Damage to Enemy Suits, and its Shield Mode is Thick Enough to Withstand Most Projectiles and Prolonged Exposure to a Beam Saber.
• Satellite Cannon: A Powerful Back-Mounted Weapon Charged by a Microwave Beam from an External Source. The Energy is Supplied by The Generation System of The Human Reform League's Orbital Elevator which The FX-9900 GX-Bit Receives and Absorbs through a Back-Mounted Reflector Unit then Stores for Firing.
• Two 60mm Vulcan Guns: Two Small Caliber Shell Firing Guns Mounted in Either Side of The Head. While Ineffectual against Mobile Suit Armor, They are useful in Intercepting Incoming Missiles/Rockets, Destroying Mobile Suit Sensors, and Engaging Lightly-Armored Vehicles and Personnel.

• Heat Knife: The FX-9900 GX-Bit has Two Heat Knives in its Legs, One in Each Calf. The Blade of The Heat Knife is Heated using Leftover Heat from The Leg's Thrusters.
• Large Beam Saber: The GX-Bit's Main Close-Range Weapon, The Beam Saber is a Small Hand-Held Device Powered by a Rechargeable Energy Capacitor. It Emits a Blade of Concentrated Plasma Contained by an I-Field and can cut through Most Armor not treated with Anti-Beam Coating. Mobile Bits are often Equipped with Several Beam Sabers Stored in The Side of Each Lower Leg via a Retractable Internal Leg-Mounted Beam Saber Storage Rack. Each Beam Saber is also capable of being used as a Grenade. The Large Beam Sword is More Powerful than a Standard Beam Saber.

Special Equipment & Features:

• Flash System: Remote Mobile Bit Control Module.
• Reflector Unit: Equipped on The Back of The FX-9900 GX-Bit, It Consists of Four Large Panels that Unfold into an X Shape when The Satellite Cannon is Activated. These Panels have a Honeycomb Structure and Can Store Energy from The Microwave Beam for The Cannon's Use. They can also Release The Energy Directly, Generating a Repulsive **** that can be used for Propulsion. When Utilized in this Manner, The Unfolded Panels Face Backwards, Resulting in a Flight Form known as "Hovering Mode." It is possible to Control The Speed and Posture in this Mode by Changing The Angle of The Panels and The Satellite Cannon's Barrel, and High-Speed, Long-Range Jumps can also be Performed.
