FANTASIA BLACKHEART - Queen of the Arcane

This comic follows the adventures of Fantasia Elizabeth Montgomery Blackheart, Vixen's premier sorceress who despite only being a teenager, is already on her way to becoming one of this universe's most powerful magick users! Dark magick specifically. Not only that, but she's also one of the wealthiest characters in Vixen too as she's an heiress who comes from old money; after finally gaining access to her trust fund upon reaching 18, she now has a personal net worth somewhere in the HUNDREDS-OF-BILLIONS-OF-DOLLARS!!!

You see, Fantasia is a member of the Blackhearts, an old money family mostly made up of powerful & incredibly influential magick-based supervillains. Despite having the tools necessary, none of the Blackhearts have any great ambition for world domination, instead preferring to just be snobby rich assholes who do evil the old fashioned way - financially and from the shadows. Cause why be a puppet when you can be a puppet master? All-the-while trying to maintain somewhat of a clean image due to their status as public figures and minor celebrities, especially in the worlds of business, finance, entertainment, fashion etc.

(All these enterprises they run legitimately for the most part since there's no "Perventus IRSus" spell)

They're basically the Kardashians but with magick.

This all started in Anglo-Saxon England when in 826 A.D., poor peasant farmer - Fyren Blackheart, sold his soul to a demon so he could pull an Aladdin and marry a noblewoman. When they do their magick, it's in Old English.

I say mostly, cause while she was incredibly spoiled growing up and has certainly inherited her family's "richness", especially in the way that she talks, acts, carries herself, etc.; she didn't inherit their "rottenness" like the rest of her siblings.

All her life, Fantasia has felt pity for "the peasants", but unlike the rest of her family, she's always felt the desire to turn that pity into something positive. A desire that she finally gets to act on when on her 18th birthday, Fantasia breaks 1,200 years of tradition and vows to use her powers to protect the innocent from the forces of injustice, darkness and evil!

On top of being a superheroine, celebrity socialite and entrepreneur, Fantasia will also have the distinction of being the first dark mage in history whose D&D alignment will be that of Lawful Good!

She won't be alone as by her side is Lynnaris Styxx, her familiar and the one person she considers to be oldest & bestest friend! Though she doesn't think of her as person due to the simple fact that you need to have a pulse for that.

Like all familiars, Lynnaris is essentially a Voodoo zombie crossed with a house elf from Harry Potter. She's semi-sentient and has no memories of the person she used to be; that being Rebecca Reynolds, a recent high school graduate from Malibu who's bright future and happy home life was taken away from her after she made the unfortunate mistake of answering the wrong HELP WANTED ad cause the money being offered for the position of live-in nanny was too good to pass up. As Lynnaris, she's been stripped of nearly all emotion, autonomy, sense of self and the need to eat, sleep or drink as her sole purpose in unlife is to serve, protect and obey Fantasia with absolute loyalty. Once she was upbeat, super friendly, and bubbly; but that too was largely stripped away and now her personality is like a cross between Alfred Pennyworth and Raven from Teen Titans.

On the bright side, like all familiars, Lynnaris is incredibly powerful, even more powerful than Fantasia and can even do certain things that Fantasia can't since she's a walking corpse with no soul. The downside is that her using her powers - whether it be offensive or defensive - is 100% dependent on/in service to - Fantasia.

(It's important to note that Fantasia had no say, involvement or knowledge in what happened to Rebecca/Lynnaris as she was 6-years-old and asleep when it went down. According to her parents, Lynnaris was a Christmas gift from Santa and she's believed that lie ever since. To her, that was the best Christmas ever!)

However, while the rest of the Blackhearts treat their familiars similar to how Lucious treated Dobby, Fantasia & Lynnaris have always had more of a Bruce Wayne & Alfred dynamic. And while what little remains of Rebecca is sad that this is her fate, at the same time she is somewhat happy in the knowledge that the spoiled, out-of-touch billionaire princess with magic demon powers she's being **** to serve against her will for all eternity is at least a decent person! It's not much, but it's something.

Lynnaris' outfit and overall design is an homage to what NYXX wore in her music video, 'Nightmare'.
