Extra chapter: Setting up the Chessboard

Location: Nemo Island Streets, Night-time

Night settles slowly over Nemo, the city-island, the sky filled with stars and the sea, always near, laps gently at the stone edges of the docks, the tides being soothing and calmed, not a single sound being heard... At first that would be.

Streetlamps flicker on one by one, casting golden puddles of light on the winding, uneven roads. The buildings, not most of them immensely tall, even for a large manmade island the place was very well populated, almost as big as I-Island, however near the edges of the city there was a small commotion.

A building windows would break, as someone was launch through them, the person as it fall tried to hold onto something to soften his landing but was unable to due to the distance it was thrown. "SHIT!" It was heard as he was falling, he quickly went throug a purse he had on him grabbing multiple tree branches and eating them, his body suddenly starting to shine, bright like a flame but before he could do something a soft hand touched his face.

"I am dissapointed in you Ryan" As he tried to react he was thrown with double the speed crashing down the ground, he thought that was it for him. He crashed hard against the ground leaving a crater as the other person landed on a different building, quickly using their quirk to jump down without hurting themselves.

After jumping from building to building, approaching the ground, a figure of a woman approached Ryan's body who was still alive, he barely soften his landing by burning some of the concrete with his quirk making it more goeey like but even then he took so much damage that there was no way he was going to keep fighting or even stand.

"Honestly I thought you were going to be able to last longer in our fight, not that you are weak, but expected more, still a criminal is a criminal even when we graduated same class and everything, what went wrong with you, you could've been a good hero... Then again I also judge you for becoming a criminal, seriously? Small time robberies and now accepting shady deals with Adam out of all people, I thought I knew you better"

"Dianna..." The man muttered "Please"

"Please? You are not a victim here, you were given power and you **** it and make a mockery out of heroes, I will make sure your history at Nemo and every single achievement as a hero you ever made not only gets erased but also you become a nobody even if you go free after jail time, I called the cops they already know about you, only thing on my mind is why the hell would you do this, you had a nice life going on, guess Adam influence grows hard on you, but if there is a thing I hate more than villains, is weak people who put others in danger"

She lit up a cigarette "As for your little job offer with Adam... I shall be taking your place, after all I have business at Japan and this is a great offer for me, I need to cleanse and start from zero again, I heard his son is there you know, been eager to meet him for a while, I guess this must be a sign from the gods above telling me to go ahead and do what I've been meaning to do, it was terrible seeing you again Ryan and to think that there was a time you and I were friends"

He would simply pass out on the street as she made her way out

"Now Adam... Bodyguard business... I need to show myself at this date and hour if I take upon the job alongside this card... Well now, Ryan would've definetely done a bad job as a bodyguard, As for you Adam I might have plans for the both of us... Same goes for your little son Jacob? Jack? Who cares"

"For now" Dianna said to herself
