On the corner of Cuprum Street rests a sizeable, two-story structure that Rinlin explains is called Dragonhide Manor--a place that belonged to a great mage for a short period of time, and some noble before that. It has a courtyard filled with a few trees and a small pond, all enclosed by stone fencing. A metal gate opens up along the brick road leading towards the front doors. The whole structure is quite lovely, with decorated glass windows and a dark brown roof. Parts do look a little worn down and/or filthy from being unused for a lengthy amount of time, but it's better than anything you could have asked for.

There's indoor plumbing, a large bath, bright magical lights that can be turned on and off, and though you don't quite feel like counting this late at night, there are definitely more than enough rooms. It isn't a gigantic mansion, but you and your party can grab their own private bed chambers with some to spare in case you do have guests. It almost feels like a dream.

After parting ways with the scout and taking a quick walk-through of your new home, you head to your chosen room and close the door behind you. The solid stone walls bring you a much needed silence. The blinds are already closed, which shields your room from the illuminated streetlights outside. You strip off your blue tunic, trousers, and everything else down to your underwear. You collapse into bed, and it feels like sleeping on clouds by comparison to the nights before.

This time, when you focus, you feel something new.

That adventure must have levelled me up! Whatever that means. I do feel like maybe I can get away with casting more spells now, maybe. So let's see. The two I know now just kinda came to me, like they're things I already knew but forgot. I wonder if there are any more of those. I haven't seen Eva do anything but Magic Bolt, and Amara has... Minor Heal, Celestial Blast... I assume Niki doesn't have any. Maybe I should ask them more about what they can do tomorrow. If they're all around level 3 and 4, I can gauge how much I should probably know. If I am some kind of Spellblade, surely I'd know fewer spells than a full blown mage or cleric. That would make sense.

Eventually, your mind stops racing, and you fall into a deep sleep.
