Explore the Forbidden Forest

You decide to trust your instincts and go directly to the Forbidden Forest. You walk down to the treeline, your wand in front of you to light your way. There are a lot of dangers in the forest, but, from your experience, if you act confident, most won’t hurt you. This time, you hope that you won’t run into any dangers at all.

You continue through the forest, looking at the ground in front of you. Your main target are squill bulbs, which must be collected from the flowering plant. This magical variety is known for its glowing blue flowers, making it easy to find.

Since you’re too busy looking around you for luminous flowers, you fail to notice the root beneath your feet. You stumble over it and slide into a tree. Your groan is immediately silenced when you hear a nearby noise. Loud footsteps approach you. Their owner pauses for a moment and you hear them sniffing.

“Who there?” a deep, rumbling voice cries.

You recognise the sound of a troll. Out of any creature, this is one of the last ones you wish to come across. He may be too stupid to fall for your bravado. You can stay in place and hope that the troll can’t sniff you out or you can run away and search somewhere else.
