Chapter 24 by CoolSoCool CoolSoCool

What's in store for tommorow?

Exploration

The next day, Elm decided to go back and see what was lurking in the medieval tower. He went this direction because he was still a bit exhausted from the sex he had yesterday, plus Hinata wasn't budging emotionally. She came out for breakfast but kept quiet, despite both him and Zelda trying to talk to her. Then skirted her way back into her bedroom before they even noticed her departure. He knew he was going to have to deal with that but wasn't sure it would be the best idea to do it now. She seemed like she was going to need a lot of attention to help her come out and with someone coming tomorrow that would not give him much time. Especially considering they were insane and probably needed to be watched for a while.

Elm did think about bringing Zelda with him too, but he felt that he just wanted to do this alone, plus he also didn't want to make her freak out thinking she had to clean all of this. That reminded him he should probably get another maid or two and some specialized workers to help around the house. However, that wasn't the focus right now. Right now he was going to see what else this house had in store for him. Walking back down the impossibly long hallway, of which he hoped he picked the right one and didn't have to trek the hour's journey back. That would have killed him a bit on the inside. Thankfully he caught sight of the stone door that sat there jarringly contrasting with the rest of the hallway.

Opening it Elm found himself back in the castle stairwell that he only peeked into briefly before. Stepping inside the air felt completely different; stuffy, hot, and damp. It was like walking into a completely different atmosphere as he could smell the stale damp air. Worried that he might forget where he came from he took a vase sitting in the hallway and wedged it in the door. At least now he shouldn't get too lost. Whipping himself back around he took the random direction of down.

Walking down the staircase he found these windows that peered into this white blinding light. He tried to see if there was anything behind the blinding light but couldn't find any there. It slightly unnerved him about that, because it was some open area he found out as he reached his entire arm through the window. Where would the light even be coming from down here, a place supposedly surrounded by the building that was the manor. Moving on from that conundrum he continued his descent until, quite a ways down, he found his first door in the stairwell. It was the same-looking stone door that he came in through and he immediately opened it. Well, that is interesting Elm thought to himself as he peered into what looked like a futuristic hallway. It was white and slick with these glowing lines that bordered the edges of the wall. Despite that, there was this engulfing darkness that swallowed both ends. It was beginning to seem to Elm like this manor was the entrance to the backrooms or something.

Still, his curiosity was greater than anything that could have tried to dissuade him, and he continued his exploration into this hallway. Again he found stepping inside the hallway, the air was different. Much cooler than even the original hallway and smelled fresh too. As Elm began walking down it, he found it was the exact same as the hallway that lead him into the stairwell in the first place. All the rooms were bedrooms with bathrooms and the bare-bones basics needed inside of them, now just with a futuristic twist to them. Elm was about to turn back around kind of disappointed that this was all there was until he saw a door slightly open further. There were wires that crawled their way out of the crack into the ceiling of the hallway and in that strange in-between where the electricity and stuff like that lay hidden.

Should he check out the room?
