Exploding masked dolls!?

"Those are the monsters I warned you about," Sena pointed at the entrance to the dungeon. "They're mysterious, but don't seem to pose much of a threat as long as you keep your distance," she explained.

"... they're mysterious alright... And rather creepy..." Kazuma sweat dropped as he saw a bunch of... Diminutive masked dolls marching out of the dungeon, all grinning, and wearing masks on the top halves of their faces, one side white, the other black.

"What's going on!?" Aqua asked, staring at them, seeming enraged for some reason. "For some reason, when I look at these dolls, I feel so angry!"

"It's probably because they have a mild demonic aura... Must be devil related, so of course they irk a goddess from the same universe," Ria remarked.

Aqua, knowing better than to respond to Ria with Yunyun and Sena, neither of whom could see her, present, instead went, "I'm gonna go smack them silly!"

"Wait, don't!" Sena shouted, but it was too late as Aqua approached, ready to punch one. Only for it to latch onto her instead.

"Eh?" Aqua asked dumbly. Then... KABOOM! It wasn't nearly as intense as the blasts Megumin let off, but it was definitely a pretty jarring explosion as the doll self destructed. Kazuma remembered the vendor from a bit ago mentioning something like this...

The smoke cleared, and Aqua laid in a crater, in a pose that was familiar to any fan of a particular old fighting anime. Ria stared for a second... Before she clutched her sides and proceeded to start laughing herself sick. "Bwahahahahaha! Aqua's been Yamcha'd! Oh my goodness! This is just too good!"

Kazuma didn't bother to respond to that, deciding to question Ria about that later. Sena then spoke up again as Aqua got up, throwing an epic tantrum over what had just happened, not nearly as amused about it as Ria was, "As... You just saw, if you get too close then they will latch onto you and explode at the slightest provocation. Though from what I heard, surviving their little kamikaze counts as defeating them, and they give a surprising amount of EXP. We need a plan to get past them, but that won't be easy. Whoever is responsible for them has an army of them..."
