Explanations and Answers
Lia's expression turned thoughtful, and she nodded slowly as if considering how to respond. She set the glass down on the table, her eyes never leaving yours, and took a deep breath before speaking. "You're here because I brought you here," she said, her voice measured and calm. "I know it sounds crazy, but just hear me out, okay?" She paused, studying your reaction, and seemed to gauge whether you were ready to listen.
As she spoke, Lia took a step back, her eyes still locked on yours, and leaned against the edge of the desk.
“I brought you here, because I've been watching you," Lia said, her voice low and gentle, as if she was sharing a secret. "I know it sounds strange, but I've been keeping an eye on you for a while now. I've seen the way you've been struggling, the way you've been feeling lost and alone." She paused, her eyes filled with compassion. "I know you've been dealing with depression, and I want you to know that I'm here to help."
As Lia spoke, she pushed off from the desk and took a step closer to you, her movements slow and deliberate.
“I’m really worried about you.” As she spoke, she reached out a hand and gently placed it on your shoulder, her touch warm and reassuring. You felt a spark of surprise at the physical contact, but Lia's calm demeanor put you at ease.
What does she do to prove her word to you?
