*Emily's POV*

BRRRR BRRRR BRRRR

It's my alarm clock.

I get out of bed a little sleepy and check it, it's 8:47.

I look at it casually and decide to finish getting up.

I quickly go into the bathroom, I can't start my day without brushing my teeth.

As I brush them I think about the things I have to do today.

Well I usually have things to do but yesterday I decided that today would be a day off for me.

Why?

Well it's a celebration of finally firing the last former employee of the IT company.

While I am thinking about this I finish my queasers in the bathroom and head to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast.

however mother said I would have to learn to cook on my own and forbade me to hire any chef, even though I have the money to hire one myself. mother is very scary when she gets mad at me.

She is very scary when she gets angry and I am afraid that she will influence father and hurt me in some way so I decided to learn.

well back to the subject.the company belongs to me since father bought it about 7 months ago,however the first time I entered the office I knew things were going to change.

most of the staff were people around 40 years old, which was not what I wanted for my company, however father warned me that I could not fire them all.

I was angry and accepted patre's word because what he was saying made sense, but I decided to take another approach.

and over the next 5 months after the acquisition I managed to lay off all the old staff and replace them with new, younger staff.

which took a lot of my energy, why you ask? well in order for the people hired to fit in with what I wanted I decided to do the work myself.

In the meantime father sent someone to run the company in my place.

Yesterday I finally got rid of the last person.

Nick Brown, it had been hard to fire him, he wasn't the best worker but he did his duties. i hated him though, i could only see a 40 year old loser trying to survive in a place he didn't belong, this month i got the chance to fire him.

after he made 3 failures in a row.

Now with him gone, I can relax in the office and let my father's staff continue to run the company.

in the end this is all father's way of saying i am "independent". so i will just play along and be a nice figurehead. i have never had any interest in running this little company, i just want to have a place to relax where no one will tell me anything.

basically my own personal paradise.

As I think about this I quickly go to the table and start eating.

However, shortly after I start eating I feel a strange impulse to jump. without thinking too much I decide to stand next to my chair and take a little jump.

after i fall i realize that the situation is a bit strange.

"why did i jump..." i ask myself as i return to my seat pondering why i did it,however

*I jump*

I take another small jump.

*jump*

and another

*jump*

and one more...

i stand still a little dazed with what just happened. but i convince myself that it was the euphoria of achieving my goal.

"yes...that must be..."

while I think about it suddenly my vision goes black

*Nick's POV*

It's been 15 minutes since I sent the first command, and seeing that Emily did what she just wrote surprised me so much that I couldn't help but repeat the command a couple more times, well the third one was just for fun haha.

After discovering that my guess was correct I got a little excited and started experimenting with the command console.

here are some of my findings.

starting with the buttons with acronyms I was able to figure out what they mean.

the first button i pressed after i started to play around was m.c.

m.c stands for manual control. it allows me to pilot Emily's body using the large ergonomically shaped joystick. it has 2 triggers and 1 button.

Basically I can move her in any direction, forwards, backwards, sideways, I can even make her turn around on her own axis (although I don't do it because it makes me dizzy) and depending on which trigger I use Emily will run or walk.

The m.c mode also allows me to control Emily's arms and hands through the gloves hidden in the crilato dome.

as i said before they are full arm gloves however they are very light and thin,made of a very transparent white fabric.i put them on and quickly emily's arms that were lying on their side started to do exactly the same thing as mine.

I pulled out my middle finger, made the peace sign, moved my arms roughly and repeated each of my movements exactly as I did them.

now talking about the button that is above the lever, it is a microphone button. in the whole command console there are 2.

once pressed i just have to say what i want and emily will say it exactly the same and at the same time.

one of the things i did to "test my guesses" was to pilot Emily in front of a mirror that is in her living room.

and have her say "asian bitch" to herself in front of the mirror with a blank stare. it wasn't my best moment but it was funny to watch that i assure you.

I was also able to check that I'm not literally in her head. how do I know? well I used the joystick to make sudden movements.

I thought that if I was literally in the brain, I would feel the movements, but nothing like that.

The room remained undisturbed without the slightest movement.

I also have a strange feeling that this room is not even in the same dimension....

well continuing where we were going i can say that this mode is the most fun of the 3 that there are. but it has several drawbacks.

first I can only use one arm while piloting Emily so unless I stop I can only use one arm.

also the control is pretty clunky in general and i can't perform too complex actions.and the tone of voice coming out of emily's voice is pretty flat as if she is reading from a script.

Then we have the v.c or voice control.

this mode is much simpler than m.c. and much more complete, you simply press one of the microphone buttons and give the instructions and Emily will do whatever you tell her to do. unlike m.c., this mode has some advantages.

this mode has some advantages.

For example if I say "Emily have a normal conversation" Emily will use her memories and previous experiences so everything looks quite normal.

also this mode i can make Emily do complex actions like crouching or jumping or in general any situation i describe.i also found that i can set commands to be executed with a trigger or at a certain amount of time.

and the last one is i or influence where the command console is used.

as the name says, this mode can only influence Emily and it seems to be the default mode.

When I press I, Emily becomes conscious again. She doesn't seem to remember anything she does when she is in the other 2 modes, but she does notice changes in her environment.

when the conscious Emily came back I quickly typed in a couple of *calm* and *nothing is happening* commands and there were no major problems.

apparently I has several functions besides influencing.for example I can control some emotions like fear or disgust or lust.and I can send stimuli.

for example if i type *hands tingle* emily will feel the ants invicibles walking on them until i deactivate the command.

it also seems to be connected to Emily's subconscious so if instead of a command I ask a question I will see the actual thoughts of what Emily thinks.

now the small recessed screen on the left side is a touch screen that has a simple 4 tab interface.

there may be even more.

the four tabs are:

-Relationships

-memories

-Likes.

-Self-Perspection

I haven't dug into them too much yet but they are still quite explanatory.

Well it's been quite fun to discover all this, this situation is still very strange.

Am I dead? is this some out of body experience? or is this some other dimensional plane? or some gift from God?

Well the first thing I have to do would be to go to my apartment and take a look around.

My first idea is to pilot Emily to my apartment but I quickly discard it.

I don't know the controls very well yet. it would be too risky to make Emily walk like a zombie to my apartment. someone might think she's on **** or something and stop her.

"So what do I do...?"

come on Nick thinks.

As I'm thinking I lean back in my chair and watch Emily go about her quiet morning without knowing anything about what's going on.

As I watch her an idea comes to me, so I put it into action.

First I put Emily back on manual control. why? simply because it's fun.

Emily who was quite relaxed suddenly stiffens up and has a blank look on her face.

I then check the memories tab and look for the person who lives closest to my apartment.

"bingo"

I find maggie jonhson.according to emily's memory she is the receptionist.she lives 20 minutes away from my apartment.i don't know her because she works a different shift but apparently today is her day off.

manipulating emily i direct her to her cell phone.once the cell phone in hand i dial the number that appears in the recollection.

*rue rue *

manipulating my left arm I put the phone to my ear.

"I hear Maggie say, a little puzzled.

to answer I press the talk button and say

"Hi Maggie it's Emily"

"Uh...yes boss I know I have your number."

Damn, that was stupid.

Well let's move on.

"I need something for me, go to the following address I'm going to give you and find out if anyone is there by any means, then call me back and let me know".

emily refers after me in a flat tone.

"Bbut boss today is my day off."

Maggie says stuttering and with a somewhat annoyed whole.

However I care little at this point about her opinion.

"Ms. Maggie this is a life or **** situation, if you refuse I will be **** to take action."

I hear a brief silence after making emily say that.

"...ok ma'am I will do it as soon as possible".

without further ado I hear the phone hang up.

Well now we just have to wait...

In the meantime emily is still in the same position I left her.

I think about what my next step should be, but a funny idea comes up.

A funny grimace appears on my face.

"How about I dig a little into this bitch's life while I wait?"

With that said I grab the controls and Emily starts moving to her room.
