Exit The Abbey!

You can't give up, not now! You had the power of the Goddess at your back and nothing was going to stop you from accomplishing your mission to bring the Sword of St Magdalena to Gerlangen!

As terrifying as it was to see your Abbey get demolished and as ruthless as those demons were with your sisters, paladins and even your War Mother, you had to complete your quest, no matter what!

So with the Sword of St. Magdalena at your side, you turn around and begin walking down the stone steps of this somewhat darkened stairwell leaving the moans of the war mother and her two paladins to slowly fade in the distance.

The stone staircase spiraled down for quite a long ways. Nothing but a random torch cascading light through out and stone walls was granting you vision every other twirl you did. If you didn't know any better you would think you were just walking in circles but you knew you were still descending so you continue your downward clockwise motion for a few moments until finally you reach the bottom.

As you look forward you see a long stone hallway which seems to go as far as you eyes can see. These walls were just as dull and repetitive as the spiral staircase and just like the stairs, there are a few torches lite up through out so at least there was vision of where you were walking. Unsure if you were going to encounter any demons you unwrap the Sword of St. Magdalena once more and grip it tight with both your hands as you make your way down the stone tunnel.

Only about twenty paces later you hear stone moving and loud bashes of rock behind you. "Shit! They must have found the hidden passage!" you mumble out as you stay still and listen.

More and more stone pebbles and rocks bounce and roll off the stone steps causing sounds to echo through out the tunnels. Then, for the longest time it goes quiet and all you hear for what feels like the longest time is your own heart beat.

Then you hear it...a low growl coming from high up on the steps. A hellhound most likely or maybe something more vile. "Goddess no..." you mumble out as another growl, followed by a yelp and another growl. "At least two, maybe three..." you think to yourself.

Now you had a choice to make, sprint down the dim stone hallway and hope to reach the end and make it out of these tunnels before these demons get down the stairs and catch you or stand your ground and fight.
