Exciting news

The next morning, we woke together, both not really believing in how things had panned out, both surprised we’d ever loved anyone before. We got up, had breakfast and then just sat and talked, Chloë’s award sitting proudly on a table nearby. Then, all of a sudden, I got a phone call. The casting director’s voice came through the phone: “Hello, Mr. Richards. You know how I said after your audition that you had been the best I’d seen? Well, what you either didn’t know or seemed to fail to notice or realize in your excitement and engagement with your audience is that you were the first to come in, so I wasn’t lying to you.” – he chuckled, - “Having said that, with the auditions now over, you were still the best one I’d seen. Congratulations, Mr. Richards. You’ve got the part. Filming will start shortly, this was the last part left to cast. I will see you again soon!”

I was ecstatic. “Chloë, I’ve got the part!” – I exclaimed excitedly. “Oh my God, I’m so proud of you!” – she exclaimed and pulled me into a tight, warm hug. I kissed her on the forehead. This had been the best week of my life.

I was about ready to head home when Chloë said: “You don’t really need to stay at your home, do you? You can pick up a few clothes and stuff like that and come live here until we both have to go shoot this movie.” “You want me to live with you?” – I asked. She nodded. My heart leapt even further than it was already, risking to end up somewhere in outer space from all the leaping it had done recently.

So, that very same day, I headed home, packed a suitcase with everything I’d need on the shoot and moved in with Chloë. Even though we’d known each other for three months, appeared in public together and even had sex, I still hadn’t fully come to terms with just how lucky I was: moving in, even if temporarily, with Chloë Grace Moretz, before going off to play in a movie with her. This was amazing.
