What's next?

Examine her collar?

Slowly Susan ran her hands across the collar which connected her throat to the wall. It was made of solid metal, and was quite sturdy. It felt cold to the touch, but she didn't think it was magical. it was tight, but not so much that she could not breath. her fingers played across it, seeking any sort of hole or break, and she found the place where it opened up, a small crack running right down her throat, held in place by a lock of some sort. The key hold was near her upper neck, and she propped it gently with a finger.

No, nothing she could do there with what she had. She pulled at the collar a few times, but could find no way to **** it open. Next, she reached around the back of her neck, her hands finding a small iron loop around which was connected the chain which ran to the stone wall. The chain was large, heavy and strong. Probably old too, but not even remotely weak. She pulled at it idly, but knew instantly that it would not open. It would take strength beyond human to break this chain.

Finally, she examined the wall into which it was trailing. The chain ran from the back of her collar into a peg of iron which had been hammered into the wall. She looked at it for a moment, measuring it with her eyes. It had been jammed in roughly, maybe if she pulled really hard...?

No, maybe not. After several minutes of pulling and heaving, she had to admit that it was jammed in there good and tight. Her heart fell. There was no way of getting out of this collar unless she had the keys.
