Chapter 3 by C_Que C_Que

who finds out she has ASG

Ex-Husband

Jerry came home to the house he had bought for his family. Better his ex-family. After all, the children were almost out of the house and his wife, Sylvia, had been cheating. However, he had no proof of this, apart from the fact that she had confessed it to him. But she would never admit that. And her friend was also covering for her. So he had to pay his unfaithful wife a lot of money and let her keep the house. The car he had bought her was almost collateral damage.

Jerry entered the house.

"HEY SYLVIA, I'm here," he called down the hallway, but got no answer from her. He guessed she was out in the garden, lecturing the pool boy or the gardening crew on how to do their job.

Jerry went into his old study. As soon as he was through the door, his mood deteriorated a little more. She had already rearranged it, his things were already packed in boxes. His old desk was empty, except for a letter. Jerry thought nothing of it and went to the boxes. He grabbed the first one and took it to his car. Every time he came back in, his eyes fell on the letter lying on the table. After the third box, he scrutinized the letter. It wasn't like Sylvia to leave letters out in the open. He hears his as the garden door is opened. Jerry didn't think about it for long, but took the letter in his hand, it was a letter from her doctor. He read it as quickly as he could and could hardly believe it when he read the diagnosis.

Absolute Gullibility Syndrome (AGS)

He had heard of this disease, but had never dealt with it. He knew that people with this disease believed everything they were told. Just as he was about to put the letter back on the table, the door opened and his wife Sylvia, or now ex-wife, stood in the doorway. At first, she seemed surprised and then looked at him angrily, while she leaned against the door.

"What are you doing here?" she asked him angrily.

"I came to get my things! Tell me, have you been to the doctor lately?" he answered her question.

"Have you read the letter?" she wanted to know.

"What letter. There's no letter here." he lied openly to her face without thinking about it.

She looked a little irritated and seemed to be thinking.

"You haven't been to the doctor, but you came in here to apologize!" he tested the diagnosis. Again, it seemed as if she was trying to remember.

"Oh ... so yes, you're right! I'm sorry it had to come to this!" she apologized half-heartedly. Jerry started to grin, it was working, so the diagnosis was real. He could have made her tell the truth and renegotiated the whole divorce process, but with this diagnosis, the chances were certainly slim.

But this diagnosis opened up new possibilities. Plenty of possibilities. She was still adorable, and he had always found her attractive. Now she believed everything she was told.

"That wasn't an excuse, you said we were going to the bedroom," Jerry replied, looking at his watch. If nothing had changed, the gardeners and the pool guy were about to disappear, and he would be able to spend the whole weekend alone with Sylvia. His grin widened as he looked at her.

"Oh, yeah, you're right. Then let's go upstairs and get it over with!" she went along with his suggestion.
