Everything is going to change isn't it...

Hannah burst out in a loud laugh after jumping on her friend.

"What's wrong scardey cat? Finally couldn't cut it!"

What Hannah had been expecting was a good old jump scare from someone who clearly couldn't handle the heat! A big freak out! Blankets everywhere in a made dash of fight of flight!

But, instead she found nothing but silence, Luke hadden't budged, and listening closer she could hear it, the faintest, ever slightest sounds of crying.

"What? The movies not that bad Luke, we've watched way worse!"

Puzzled, Hannah pulled the blanket up and moved closer to her friend.

"It's not the movie Hannah."

Luke was curled up in a ball, knees up and face in his hands.

"Then what's wrong?"

"Everything..."

"Everything is going to change, isn't it."

Hannah's face drew a blank, the sounds of gor in the background disappearing as she tried to process her friend's words. Luke was never like that this! Besides, what did that even mean?

"I... What do you mean?"

"Look on my page."

So Hannah did, fishing out her own phone, and after a few seconds of scrolling even her thick head figured out what her best friend was talking about.

"What am I going to do Hannah!"

Voice raising, Hannah sat beyond her depth as Luke exploded with emotions before her.

"I don't want to be locked up my mom! The government scares me, and look at all the girls! There going to tear me the shreds! I just want to play soccer Hannah! I just want to live my life!"

Suddenly Hannah's hands shot forward and wrapped themselves tight around Luke as she hugged him.

"I don't know Luke, but there's no point in being sad about it, things change."

"Easy for you to say! Your a girl!"

Grimacing Hannah held on.

"I- I know, and I probably won't get it. You know how I am."

Hannah let out a long sigh, she wasn't good at this stuff at all!.

"But your my best friend Luke, that won't change. Who else would be my partner in crime?!"

The silence from Luke was defining.

"And, I don't know what it's worth, but I'll be here for you through this whole thing..."

"For what it's worth."

"Watching scary movie!"

"Pulling Pranks!"

"Playing Sports!"

"Hanging Out!"

"Like we always do! We're Bros!"

Holding on tight, and long after the credits finished rolling Hannah still held on to her friend, Luke growing quite and his tears stopping. She wasn't really sure what else to do?! Touchy feely stuff! That was way out of her depth...

But it did feel nice when Luke finally hugged her back, and rested his head on her chest. Instinctively she ran a hand through his hair, and rubbed his back as the two laid back in a long embrace.

BUZZ BUZZ

It was only at the sound of Luke's phone going off that they parted. Luke rubbing his noise before looking at his screen, then punching in some numbers.

"Hey Mom, I saw your text."

Sitting up herself, Hannah listened to Luke's shaky voice.

"No, I'm just over at Hannah's."

"Yes, Scary Movies."

"Yes, Mom."

"No, were done, I can head home now if you want?"

"Ok."

"I'll see you soon."

Glancing up when Luke was finally done Hannah could see how puffy and red Luke's eyes were.

"Want me to walk you home?"

Finally smiling, Luke nodded no.

"Thanks but I want some time to clear my head. Can't show up to my mom acting like girl! Can I?"

"Hey! I take offense to that!" Hannah feigned insult sticking her tongue out.

"Deepest Apologies me Lady, but my good mother taught be mot to lie."

Both giggling, Hannah smiled seeing her friend to the door.

At least I could do something womanly for once.
