Chapter 6 by FallenSaint FallenSaint

How does the call go?

Everything falls into place

Two rings. That's all it took before Tony answered.

"Hello? Diana, is that you?"

He sounded so hopeful and possibly a little nervous.

"Yes. It's me Tony." Oh hell, she sounded nervous too.

"Oh, ok. Good. I've been trying to find you. Somehow I kept missing you."

"I had the same problem," she giggled.

"Your boss said it was strange for you to disappear like that. I thought... I thought you were avoiding me."

"No dummy! I was trying to find you. I wanted to talk to you."

"If it's about the party, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to screw up your night."

"And what about the kiss? Did you mean to kiss me back in front of my husband?"

"Fuck... I hoped you wouldn't remember and that it was too dark for him to see that I was into it."

"Well, you got half of your wish. I really didn't remember. I still don't remember what all happened."

"Is he pissed at us," Tony asked, fear in his voice.

"No Tony. Surprisingly, everything is fine. That said, can we meet? I really want to talk to you in person."

"I would love that! How about dinner? If you text me your address, I can pick you up around eight?"

"Sounds perfect! I'll send you the address as soon as we get off the phone. I need to head back to work, so I'll talk to you tonight."

Diana disconnected the call feeling like she had won the jackpot at a high scale casino. Work flew by for the rest of the day and she realized that she must have some kind of goofy look on her face because a few times Mary had walked by and chuckled after looking at her. Diana couldn't help it. She hadn't been this excited to meet up for dinner with someone besides her husband for quite some time. Speaking of, she hoped the news was as exciting for him as it had been for her.

Once she got off work, she hurried home, needing to tell Jack the news and then shower and choose an outfit. Her mind was already putting together an outfit for the evening. At first she considered her little black dress again, but decided that would be too much. She needed to catch Tony's eye without coming off as **** or trying too hard. When Diana hit the door, she was all smiles when she saw Jack sitting on the couch.

"So I finally talked to Tony! He asked me to have dinner with him tonight," Diana blurted out without even telling Jack hello.

Jack's face went from confusion to shock, and then to excitement within the span of of a few moments before he answered her with a smile playing at the corners of his lips.

"When you get home, you have to tell me everything!"

"I promise," Diana reassured him, "but for now I need to shower and get ready!"

"How did you find him," Jack questioned as he followed her to the bedroom.

"I didn't! He left his number and email address with Mary! She had noticed me looking for him, so she asked me to go to lunch with her. We discussed her lifestyle and how she makes it work, and then I admitted what we were hoping for. Then she passed me the number and I called him."

"I'm glad it worked out."

Diana called out her agreement as she stripped down and headed for the shower. Behind her, Jack moaned as he watched her sashay into the bathroom to get ready. She felt a bit giddy, and Jack's excitement only made it better for her. Diana tried to wash quickly, cursing that she didn't have more time. Her bush was already manicured, but she remembered that Tony liked his partners clean shaven. She made a mental note to take care of that later, but for now she settled for well washed.

For her outfit, she selected a light pink blouse and a black skirt. For her underwear, Diana picked out black and lacey to match the skirt, with black tights for her leggings. She had a nice set of slip on shoes with a raised heal to match the look. Jack had sat back and watched as she did her hair and makeup, with that same cute smile from before still plastered on his face.

"How much time do you have?"

"It feels like I don't have enough, but I'm ok. He'll be here in about ten minutes. I should be done by then."

Her prediction was almost spot on. Just a few minutes after putting on the finishing touches, her phone buzzed. Tony was waiting outside. Diana gave Jack a kiss and then rushed out the door for her date.

Does dinner go well?
