Everyone adjusts to the new normal

"Wow!" cried a naked Amy Madison. "What happened?"

"What do you mean what happened?" asked Willow-in-Kathryn. "Who are you anyway? Why are you naked? Why am I sitting here?"

"I -- I don't know," said Amy. "I guess I was born this way."

"I guess I was born this way too," said Tara-in-Willow. "Which is a good thing, I guess, because I like this body."

"I guess I like this body too," said Faith-in-Riley. "Though it still feels weird for some reason. Almost like I'm not used to driving stick."

"I guess I like this body too," said Joyce-in-Buffy. "It seems so... strong. Like I'm a superhero."

"Well, I don't like this body but it's okay, I guess," said Buffy-in-Joyce. "Though I probably should be doing something right now. But what?"

Just then Riley-in-Faith came into the room.

"Hey, who are you guys?" he asked.

"I don't know," said Faith-in-Riley. "Who are you?"

"You look kinda familiar," said Buffy-in-Joyce.

Then Buffy-in-Joyce looked in her purse and found a photo I.D. "Hey, I'm Joyce Summers."

"And apparently I'm Buffy Summers," said Joyce-in-Buffy, after looking through her own purse.

"And I'm Kathryn Merteuil," said Willow as she looked in her purse as well.

"And I'm Willow Rosenberg," said Tara-in-Willow upon looking through her purse as well.

Faith-in-Riley checked her wallet and said, "Hey, I'm Riley Finn. And I'm in the military. The United States military. Apparently I'm in the Army and everything."

"Who am I?" asked Riley-in-Faith. "I don't seem to have I.D. at all."

"Well, we have to call you something," said Amy. "How about Eliza?"

"Really?" asked Riley-in-Faith. "Why not something simple? Like Amy?"

"Okay, you're Amy," said Amy. "Then I guess I'll be Eliza. Or better yet, Elizabeth."

"How about Buffy for short?" said Joyce-in-Buffy. "I seem to remember liking that name."

"No, we already have a Buffy," said Amy. "How about Buffy II?"

"If you're going to go that route, why not call yourself Echo?" asked Faith-in-Riley.

"Personally I feel more like an Alpha but Echo it is," said Amy. "Anyway, I'm sure glad we got that problem solved. Now why do I get the feeling there's something else we could be doing?"

"Oh, whatever it is," said Buffy-in-Joyce, "it couldn't be that important."
