What's next?

Everyone Makes Choices

Derren entered school feeling good. He spent the entire night dwelling on the idea he'd be a god and reached a conclusion. If he became a god he could protect the ones he loved and he could prevent another god from popping up and interfering with him and his women. Therefore he had a plan today, if he needed a scribe he might as well start with the woman establishing his religion. He was on his way to meet up with Jillian to give her the good news. Unfortunately, things don't always go to plan, and he wasn't omniscient yet. Which is how he ended up slammed into a nearby wall by Dennis McKenzie, May's boyfriend. He wasn't an athlete but was a body building nut. The dude spent every second he could in the gym and looked like he was sculpted by the gods. He was 6' 6" and could life a car (seriously he could Derren saw him do it once). His ripped physique, towering hight, straight black hair, and blue eyes made him one of those "every man wants to be, and every woman wants to be with" kind of person. Currently this goliath of a man was holding Derren down against a wall and had Derren's arm secured behind his back with the implication that if he dared move that Dennis would break it.

"You and I have to have a little talk, fucker."

"Oh, hey Dennis, nice to see you."

"Don't fuck with me! I finally got May to tell me what you did to her and what you've been doing to her friends. So I'll give you one chance to plead for your life before I turn you into a puddle of blood." Dennis threatened Derren.

Derren was feeling fear for the first time in a long time as this position he found himself in didn't allow him to quickly write his name on something to save himself. He was pinned down and powerless. However, what helped was that he had true allies now, and no sooner did he have that thought he heard his saving grace.

*Phweeeeeeeee!*

The sound of a whistle bellowed out through the hallway and its piercing ring caused both men to turn their heads towards the person behind the whistle.

"Dennis! What are you doing to a fellow student! Have you no shame!" Jillian said in full teacher mode.

"Oh, Miss. Reed. Do you have any idea what this creep has been doing! I ought to break his arm." He said as he pulled Derren's arm up slightly higher, increasing the pain Derren was feeling.

"I don't care what he's done. If Mr. Smith has done something you tell one of us teachers. You are not judge, jury, and executioner here Mr. McKenzie, and you'll do well to remember that. Now release him and head to my office. We can talk about your behavior as well as his then." She said sternly to make sure there was no room for Dennis to rebuke her.

"Fine!" With one last petty shove to push Derren into the wall, he relented and let go. With his head hung a little lower than before he sulked his way to the PE teacher's office. Jillian and Derren watched him leave before Jillian switched gears.

"I am so sorry my lord! I was late when you needed me the most. I am so ashamed of myself." She made sure no one else was around before she prostrated herself before Derren.

"Forget it. You came before anything bad happened and that's all that really matters. In fact, the way you handled this shows me I'm making the right choice."

"Choice for what my lord?" She asked as she rose to her feet once again.

"I found out something pretty incredible recently. I can make you my scribe and as such transfer power to you so long as you use it in my name."

"A-are you serious! My lord, if you're toying with me it is your right. I pray you're not though!" She looked at Derren with reverence and hope.

"It isn't a joke. I can't think of anyone more befitting." Derren replied.

"Is this another piece of writing that'll be on my body?" She asked.

"Naturally." Was all Derren replied with.

"Come with me my lord." Not waiting for a reply from Derren she grabbed his hand and led him to a vacant room. She knelt down and removed the polo shirt she wore exposing her bra covered breasts to the air. She crossed her arms underneath her c-cup breast to heft them up and accentuate her cleavage more.

"My lord, this is where I want you to place it. Is that okay?" She looked up at Derren with a slight cock of the head.

“Of course.” Derren said with a smile as he wrote across her bosom;

Derren Smith's Scribe

"Congratulations, do you feel any different?" Derren asked as Jillian reluctantly covered herself back up with her discarded shirt. She didn't want to take her eyes off the faint golden glow of the divine writing of her lord.

"Yes my lord. I feel your power course through my veins. Your will, as always, is mine." Jillian arose to her feet and gave a quick bow before heading towards the door.

"Where are you running off to?" Derren asked as she was about to depart.

"I need to carry out your will naturally." She said as she gave another small bow, leaving for real this time.

May was excited to meet up with Dennis. Since she had confided in him about all this magical craziness that her and her friends had been thrust into he really took it upon himself to comfort her. He also started opening up to her too. She appreciated that since his machismo increased when they entered high school and he had closed up considerably since then. She still loved him even when he was closed off of course, but it was nice that they could both be **** around each other as well as supportive of each other. Now he had texted her to meet in the gymnasium durning lunch for a surprise. She suspected that "surprise" was he wanted to fuck, and May figured if sex in the gym was what got him to be a more open and considerate boyfriend then it was a very small price to pay. She opened the gym doors and was greeted by the very dim light coming from the skylights that didn't do much to light up the whole gym. Since she was distracted she didn't notice that when the doors swung shut behind her someone appeared to close them off. She was now trapped.

"Hello! Honey! Where are you!?" May shouted as she tried to find where Dennis had hidden.

He wasn't standing anywhere on the large, empty gym floor. That meant he had to be in one of the offshoot areas of the gym such as under the bleachers, in one of the locker rooms on either side of the gym, Coach Reed's office at the exact other end of the gym, and of course the storage room situated between Coach Reed's office and the girl's locker room on the left side of the gym. There was a creaking sound as Dennis emerged from the men's locker room, and it caused May to jump.

"Ah, that startled me. So... I think I have an idea about what this surprise is! Which room are we going to? Or do you want to get freaky at center court?" She said the last part seductively.

However, the reaction she got was different than she expected. He hung his head low, the sound of soft weeping clear in the otherwise quiet gym.

"I-I'm so sorry." He said meekly.

"What are you talking about?! What's wrong honey?!" She said in a panicked voice.

As she approached he slowly brought his head up to meet her eyes. May's eyes went wide as she made eye contact with her sobbing boyfriend as written across his forehead in large print was;

Derren Smith's Life

"NO!" She screamed as she took a step back.

"How could you! How could you fall prey to that creep. I warn you not to get involved when I confided in you!" She screamed at him. Lashing out in frustration that her boyfriend was now caught up in this mess too.

"I'm sorry. You're right, I should have listened to you. Now my life is bait to lure you." Dennis said as he fell to his knees in despair.

"Fuck!" May realized too late that it was a trap, but still dashed to the door. Of course they were locked, and she was truly feeling like an idiot for falling into such a dumb trap.

"Welcome May. I'm glad you could make it." Derren said after emerging from the shadows that the bleachers provided. He now stood next to Dennis as May turn back to face where they were.

"You fucking creep! What did you do to Dennis!" May yelled as she rushed half the distance between the doors and the two men. She wanted to be confrontational, but was too afraid of Derren's power to get within writing distance. Once again her rashness proved to be her undoing as this movement allowed the other person lurking in the gym's shadows to get behind her.

"Ahhhh!" May yelped in surprise as she was grappled by an unknown assailant.

"As expected of my lord. Your plan has gone off without a hitch. You are too brilliant for mere mortals to comprehend." A familiar voice to May rang in her ears.

"The plan isn't over yet. Stay sharp." Derren replied to the woman.

"My apologies my lord. I won't get over excited again." With that the voice clicked in May's head.

"Coach!" May blurted out.

"I am no longer your coach you harlot. I am a servant of my lord only." Jillian said icily.

"What?" May had trouble comprehending what she had just heard from her coach.

"Anyone who would bare false witness against my lord and savior deserves **** in my opinion. However, you should be thankful that my lord is a merciful god. He will give you an appropriate punishment though." Jillian said with reverence.

May panicked at this and began to struggle against the hold her coach held her in. As she shook, struggled, and flailed she attempted to kick backwards to get free. Jillian used this opportunity to throw May off balance and the woman was slammed face first into the ground hard enough to knock the fight out of her.

"Now then let's get down to business shall we?" Derren asked.

"Yes my lord let's do just that!" Jillian said excitedly.

"Now then May. You made a fatal mistake that night you thought you got away from me." Derren said crouching low to face May.

"What do you mean." May grunted out as the right side of her head was being pinned to the floor by Jillian.

"You thought that you had avoided me using my powers on you that night." Derren stated.

"I DID avoid you! You don't control me asshole!" May said with a fierce glare.

"About that. If you had been paying enough attention and been a bit smarter you'd have realized I did write my name on you that night." Derren continued.

"WHAT!?" May said in disbelief.

"It's true and if you had run off to your little clique I'd definitely be done for after Vivian got ahold of that info. Fortunately you didn't, so here we are with me having the upper hand."

"If you wrote on me why didn't I fall to you then?" May was too curious not to ask.

"Well you, and probably most of the rest of the cheer team I suspect, have a God's protection." Derren looked upon May's confused face and proceeded to explain everything about God's protection to her.

"Fuck! FUCK! I could have used that!" May was rightfully upset to know she messed up her best chance of stopping Derren.

"And now you've brought Dennis into all this! How did you even get close to him I told him all about your sick little powers!" She continued.

"The ones you know of, but I was actually the one to claim him for my lord. I was made his scribe today and used his power to claim your stupid little boyfriend." Jillian chimed in.

"I'm going to be sick. I can't believe this!" May said with tears in her eyes.

"You made your bed when you told the police I assaulted Vivian, and that you had witnessed it." Derren shot back.

"Look I'm sorry about that! I had no idea this would happen, but it doesn't have to be this way!" May begged.

"You're right, it doesn't have to be this difficult. You could just give up your protection and let me claim you." Derren responded.

"Go to hell." May spat back.

"Haaaaa- Fine then. Dennis, the bridge on Route 6, I want you to swan dive off of it tonight. Since it's my life I choose how it ends. Now run along." Derren gave his order and Dennis held his head low. Even more tears streamed down his face then before.

"WAIT!" Mat called out.

"What?" Derren responded.

"Leave him out of this!" May cried.

"You know what you have to do then." Derren said calmly.

"Fine, I relinquish my protection! Claim me!" May said as Jillian allowed her to stretch out her arm. Derren grabbed it and wrote:

Derren Smith's Decision Making

This time the writing stayed.

"Alright Dennis forget about that last order." Derren was true to his word and prevented Dennis from offing himself.

"Now then, you don't need to be here anymore so I'll just change the location of my ownership claim on you and you can go about the rest of your day. Naturally you can't tell anyone about what I've done to you or May. Otherwise I end you." After changing the location of the writing on Dennis and giving him a warning he was free to leave.

"Alright, time to deal with you." Derren said as he turned towards the still prone May.

MAY POV

As Derren was dealing with Dennis May felt the weight of Coach Reed's body leave her. This was her chance to escape, she thought to herself. If she got up and bolted while everyone was distracted she could leave and maybe even get help. There was one slight issue though, she still couldn't move. Try as she might she couldn't get her body to listen to her. Despite the fact she had been freed from her coach's grasp she just couldn't lift herself up. She felt no external **** keeping her down, but every time she tried to move her head would be slammed by an ungodly pain and she had to abandon her efforts to stand. When she saw Dennis' feet shuffle past her she knew her window was up.

"I decide you should stand up." She heard Derren say.

To her surprise she bounded to her feet in seconds. Great, she thought to herself, now she can run or attack. However, she was once again bombarded by that pain. She stopped the efforts to move again nothing was worth that pain. Fine, she once again thought to herself, I can at least give him a piece of my mind. She opened her mouth to talk, but not only did nothing come out it was like god himself was reaching into her lungs to forcibly remove the oxygen in her body. She quickly abandoned her attempt to talk. Soon her vision blurred and she soon realized she was shaking and crying out of fear. She feared him now, truly feared him. Derren wasn't some loser that could be fucked with whenever she and her cohorts felt like. Nor was he a magician that could be combatted through effort and strategy. He was a monster that they had awoken, and he bared his fangs at her.

"I decide that you can speak to me so long as you are polite." Derren said to the trembling cheer leader.

She wanted to curse him out , but the pain was too fresh in her mind to even attempt contempt.

"T-thank you for allowing me to talk. May I ask you a question?" She was trying her best not to break down but she needed to play along if she wanted to get though this.

"You can."

"What did you do to me?" May asked the most obvious question hanging in the room.

"Look at your left shoulder." Derren said.

May took one look at her arm and felt her heart drop. Everything connected now. She couldn't do anything, except emote apparently, without his consent. She made a deal with the devil in a rigged game, and now she'd have to pay for her past mistakes. She was crestfallen and somber as she looked back at Derren. Before the conversation could get started the school bell rang out.

"Ah, we'd better get going before people flood the gym." Derren said.

"Now then I decide that you should go attend your classes and you aren't allowed to make known in any way what happened here or that I now own something of yours." Derren continued.

May shuffled away like a zombie. She felt numb and trapped within her own body. As she slunk off to her class she thought to herself:

Everybody makes choices, and I chose wrong.

Author's Note: (Previously posted this note on latest chapter of One Night Stand)

Good news, bad news time.

The good news is that I have found full time employment since I lost my job due to the pandemic last year. YAY! I'm three weeks in already since I wrote this message the first time.

The bad news is that I don't know what that'll do to my writing. I have many hobbies, interests, and commitments that I will be continuing as well. I will not be abandoning any of my stories, but I wouldn't count on consistent updates from any of my stories. I'm very sorry about that, but I will continue to try to make a story with substance and enjoyability. I hope you all continue to support me when I do continue my stories.
