Some laughed, some alerted Ms. Wells that she was showing her panties, and some called her crazy, but nothing mattered to her, Ms. Wells continued panting and blissfully expecting Jay to pet her.

This was enough to shake Jay, on one hand he was turned on by her continuing to expose herself with no shame whatsoever, but he also started panicking a little realizing this situation was getting out of hand.
