Anna sat in her office trying to access the unknown file but every password she tried failed and the tech support said they could not get to her for a week. She also had another problem, she had the feeling some of the time in her life had gone missing and then there was the issue of sergeant Murdoch who had greeted her this morning and said that he hoped she was feeling better. When she questioned him he told her she had radioed in yesterday saying she was unwell and going home. She had just nodded and said thank you and headed to her office where she now sat. She pondered on whether she should visit a doctor for these memory lapses. Yesterday was not the first lapse she had had others this past week and she was a little concerned so she decide to go see a doctor who specialised in mental well-being. She headed out of the station and then over to the doctor who was within walking distance passing a woman who seemed familiar. Cassidy phoned Tina and said the chief was on her way to see her.

Anna entered the doctor's office and went to the main desk where Lena met her Lena assured Anna that the doctor could fit her in today if she would just fill out the registration form. Anna fill out the form which was a pretext to get her signature which could be copied and used to doctor reports and files. When she handed the form back the buzzer sounded and Lena showed her into the doctor's office. Tina stood up and shook hands with Anna introducing herself as Doctor Mesmer and inviting Anna to lay on the couch. After a brief chat, Tina removed a pendant from her pocket with a red stone attached and told Anna to relax and follow the stone with her eyes. Soon Anna was falling into a deep state of relaxation as her eyes followed the stone and Tina's soothing voice flowed into her mind. Tina started to count backwards from ten and when she reached zero Anna was completely relaxed and in Tina's control. This part of the **** would seal Anna's fate as it would make her seem mad.

I am going to count from zero to ten when I reach ten you will be wide awake and relaxed until you get back to your office One, two" Anna woke up and she was completely relaxed and she thanked the doctor and apologised for falling asleep. She left the office and headed back to her own office smiling until she entered the station and saw sergeant Murdoch talking with another deputy then they stopped when they saw her enter and she suddenly felt that they had been talking about her.

She headed to her office feeling that some people were against her but she tried to shake it off as she got back to work going through files. She came across Cassidy's file and saw the signature and was confused as she saw her name and the file marked no further action but she shrugged thinking it must be another lapse on her part. Anna carried on all day doing files and entering those not yet in the database into the computer then it was suddenly time for home so she packed up. On her way out the shift was changing and she sensed that everyone was following her with their eyes whispering but it was in her mind they were actually all going about their duties. Tina was in her office with Lena and the two deputies and she explained that Anna's downfall was twofold. One was to discredit her making it look like she was corrupt at which point the second phase would be initiated. This involved everyone thinking she was mad. Everyone smiled and Sharon and Lorensson rubbed their hands as they could wait for everything to get back to normal.
