Evellyn gets right to bussines

Evellyn looks around the room, which is somewhat crowded. "We need somewhere a little more private." She walks past your table towards one of the curtained booths on the side of the tavern, and you and Vanessa both get up and follow.

It's a small furnished space, with a couch built into the sides of the booth curving around a table. You all sit down, Evellyn slides the curtain shut, and then drops her satchel on the table with a heavy thump. She grabs one of the gasbomb containers out of it - the ones which knocked out the guard captain when the amulet was stolen.

"We need to know where these bombs came from. Who used them." Evellyn declares, sternly.

"That's a small effort dear. A scrying spell should do the trick." Vanessa sounds confident. She reaches into the bag, grabs one of the containers, and starts tracing runes in the air. She beguns muttering words under her breath and her eyes glow bright for a moment, before fading.

"Mhm, curious.."

You lean forward. "Curious how?"

"Whoever used these bombs.. They appear to have shielded themselves from my scrying spell. I do not know who used them..."

"Fuck. Fuck fucking fuck." Evellyn mutters.

".. I can tell you who made them though. Maybe she knows who bought them from her. She's a dwarven artificer in this city."

"Well, that's a good place to start. Thanks 'Ness."
