Eve’s Escape

“Eve” begins to freak out as she realizes she is underwater but Dr. Winters says, “Calm down Subject 69…it’s oxygenated water so you can’t drown.”

Diana started to take slow controlled breathes and the lady with the white lab coat with the big breasts was right. She could breathe perfectly fine so maybe she could talk. “Where am I? Who am I?” Why couldn’t she remember anything…

“It’s alright, Subject 69,” said Dr Winters in a calm manner as she put her hands on the glass. “You are the birth of a new species of human and you shall bring humanity to a new Age of Enlightenment. With your eccentric genes and my unyielding intellect, we can achieve the impossible.”

The doctor’s fancy words hurt her head and none of this made any sense. She couldn’t remember what she was doing but at the same time none of this stuff felt familiar. If she had been here for a while, wouldn’t she have recalled Dr. Winters or even the lab? Something felt off but she would play along to see if she could get anything to help with her memory.

“Do you happen to know my name, Doctor?”

“We call you Subject 69 but if you want a more formal name I personally call you Eve. Do you mind if we conduct some tests on you?” The doctor asked adjusting her glasses.

She did not like the sound of that and truthfully it didn’t sound like the doctor knew much more than her identity. Her arms were restrained but she needed to get out of there. She was not gonna be some science project for Miss Sugar Tits and her band of nerds. She began to try to free herself from her restraints. “I wouldn’t try that if I were you, Asset 69. Those are the strongest restraints on the planet so you aren’t going anywhere.”

The doctor’s words only made her try harder as she gave it all of her strength and finally freed her right arm. With the assistance, she freed her left arm and eventually her legs. “Fascinating,” the doctor said with a smile as she took notes.

“Ma’am, we need to get you out of here,” said one of the scientists as they escorted her back into the lab before sealing it off. Eve broke through the glass as the water spilled onto the floor.

“Asset 69- you’ve performed far beyond my expectations but your fun stops now,” the doctor said through the intercom. Gas began to pour out to vents as Eve began to feel drowsy.

(Oh shit…I gotta get out of here…) she thought as she squatted as low as she could before shooting herself through the ceiling.

“Asset has escaped, ma’am…” said the scientist.

“Astounding…simply remarkable…did you see her burst through the ceiling like it was nothing?” She said with a grin.

“Shouldn’t we try to reclaim the asset?”

“Absolutely! We need to figure out what makes Asset 69 so special and then rip it out of her,” the doctor said adjusting her glasses with a sinister smile
