Ethan gets a confidence booster

Ethan still hadn't gotten used to his new physique quite yet, so when he picked up the dice, he noticed that it felt almost smaller. Unable to judge the power his arms had in them, Ethan threw the dice down onto the table with a bit more **** than he intended as it bounced back up into the air, before falling onto the floor.

Ethan: Oh fuck! The game is gonna fuck me over now isn't it.

Georgia: Yeah, that happened to me bro.

Seb: Ha! Unlucky mate! Maybe it'll make your dick smaller, not that it can get much smaller.

Ethan wanted nothing more than to tell Seb to fuck off there and then, but the words just wouldn't come out. He had never been the most confident guy in the world, and even being the biggest and strongest guy in the room couldn't solve that. There was always a voice in his head, questioning every decision he made.

He had always hated the fact that he lacked real confidence and thought back to a time when Georgia and Seb had temporarily split up. This was of course in the old reality that only he seemed to remember. Georgia had come crying to him and was looking to Ethan for comfort. He embraced her and gave her a long hug to try and make her feel better. Time passed by and neither were too sure how long the hug had lasted, but Ethan was sure that when he pulled away from Georgia, she tried to pull his head closer to hers. Ethan, unsure of whether he reading into the situation too much, pulled away and quickly exited the room.

He swore that he could have kissed her that day, and soon after, Seb and Georgia got back together. He always blamed his lack of confidence on his misfortune with Georgia.

Feeling embarrassed by Seb's comment, Ethan waited to hear what the board would do. Yet nothing happened. The group waited for a minute, but the game gave no indication that it was going to do something. Everyone exchanged perplexed looks, trying to see whether Ethan would be brave enough to pick the dice up and roll again, yet Ethan refused, too scared that he would make the wrong decision.

Another 2 minutes passed without Ethan making a move. At this point, the others were urging him to pick it up and roll again. Words materialised above the board.

Ethan: I knew it! I just had to wait!

The words read: STOP BEING SO PARANOID, GROW SOME CONFIDENCE.

Ethan could no longer hear that voice in his head making him worry. He realised that he felt a newfound confidence grow inside of him.

Seb: Haha even the game knows you're being a pussy!

Ethan: You know what? Fuck you Seb! You can't call me a pussy when you haven't even asked Georgia out after 7 dates!

The room fell silent after Ethan's outburst. He was usually so shy and unconfrontational.

Seb: Woah low blow mate!

Ethan: We're not mates! All you've done is make fun of me, we don't even know each other that well, I've just been pretending to like you for Georgia! Frankly she could do much better than you!

Seb took offence to this reply, and stood up trying to tower over Ethan to intimidate him. Lydia looked over, sad that Seb was going to try to bully Ethan once again after he had finally stood up for himself. She wanted to look away, but suddenly, much to her surprise, Ethan got up out of the chair too. He stood taller than Seb, and seemed to have a more assertive aura around him.

Seb: Look Ethan, I don't want to get into this in front of the others.

Ethan: Don't want to or can't?

Seb looked at Ethan, his strong demeanour faltering. He realised that this probably wasn't a good idea, what with Ethan now being much bigger and stronger than him. Slowly he sat back down, looking defeated.

Seb: Whatever dude... Just chill out.

Georgia looked over at Ethan, surprised that he had actually stood up for himself, even if it was against Seb. She didn't expect him to admit that he thought she could do better than Seb. She didn't understand what he meant by that.

Georgia: Ethan... What was that comment supposed to mean? Seb is great for me?

Ethan: No he isn't Georgia, you deserve someone that truly appreciates you. Someone that tells you how amazing you are every day. Someone that actually appreciates how beautiful you are. Someone that really loves you.

Georgia didn't know what to say. Ethan thought she was amazing? He called her beautiful. She never realised that this was what he felt.

Ethan: Sorry for doing this here but I had to say what I thought. I've been to afraid to before.

Georgia: Ethan...

Ethan: Yes?

Georgia: Seb is the right person for me. You should have told me all that before. I really like him!

Ethan: What?!

Lydia and Olivia watched on, cringing internally. Acting on instinct, trying to change the focus, Lydia rolled the dice before they could continue talking.

Lydia: Sorry guys, but I couldn't bear to watch you guys argue for any longer.

Georgia: Fine, we'll continue this after...

The dice rolled onto the board...
