"Please come with me, Lady Alice," says Yin as she gestures a hand towards the hall. They begin to depart, and you do the same, heading to different parts of the manor. There are still quite a few more vacant bedrooms, so it shouldn't be a problem.

You make your way down the hall with Delphi flying beside you. It isn't long before you approach a random door, turn the knob, and the two of you make your way inside the bedchamber furnished only with a bed, a desk, and a dresser. It isn't as lively as the ones you and the others have been furnishing, but the bed alone is gigantic for someone only about six inches tall.

As you shut the door, she flutters over to the top of the dresser and drops her bags. "This is certainly a change from the forest."

You lean against the wall nearby. "So let's be real. Who exactly is this witch that experimented on you, and what does that mean? You'll be living here, so I feel like you should share a bit more about that."

She hangs her legs off the edge of the dresser. "Oh please. Do you know the whole story of everyone here? Did you even know Amara's mother was out there doing what she's doing?"

"Well, no. But I--"

"You think those girls are cute, right?"

"I do."

"And you've messed around with some of them."

"I can neither confirm nor deny."

"How about you get to know them a bit more?"

"I figure they'd share when they were ready."

"And yet here we are. Why are you interrogating me then, hm?"

She has a point I guess, but she sure got frustrated quickly. I forgot how hard things must have been for her.

You pause for a moment. "Sorry, Delphi. I didn't mean it like that. Look. You don't have to tell me, but I'll tell you my biggest secret, only if you promise to believe me."

She runs a hand back through her hair. "I'm sorry too. I admit I got a little defensive... What is this secret?"

"Niki, Amara, and Eva know this already, but I'm actually not from around here. Not even close. I still don't know how or why, but I come from another world entirely. One without magic, but the technology is much more advanced. Worlds like this one exist in fairy tales."

Delphi looks you over. The room falls silent. She crosses one leg over the other, pondering to herself, before she finally speaks again. "I don't know why you'd lie to me, Kyle. This world of ours is pretty wacky. Something like that sounds almost reasonable. Well, damn. I know what I just said, but after that, I think I'm willing to tell you at least a bit of my story."
