Escape Would be Easy. So Why Not?

The idea seems so absurd to you. All the reasons why it wouldn't work parade in your head one after another. Whose to say the Hob-goblins wouldn't recognize you just by your noble bearing or your obvious high breeding? And you're out here on an official mission. It's not like you could go missing without your people's mighty army going hunting for you.

And who is to say the crude backwards training the Hob-goblins use would even work on you. They're used to training orc women, for heavens sake. Surely a creature of higher intelligence and fortitude then they possess would be above whatever crude domestication method they'd employ. And that's to say nothing of your trained skills and battle knowledge. What if they captured you and you found escape trivially easy?

And yet...

If they passed you up for being too obviously highborn, then the consequences would be....nothing. Meanwhile the very fact that someone would come to free you means that you have an insurance policy to escape. Like a time limit on the entire affair. What's more, you had your monthly bleeding recently, so there's no immediate risk of an unwanted result from the entire affair in your belly.

And so what if escape would be too easy or their methods are too brutish for you? That simply means that if you're not enjoying yourself then escape would be a simple matter. If anything, you relished the chance to test it out.

You let out a low giggle. You really could simply...let yourself be captured here and now with no long term consequences. And then there's the question of what happens if you aren't rescued. If their methods do prove more powerful then anticipated. You think of the empty, subdued eyes of that half-elf wo-mount who you'd seen before.

Well, that possibility might have it's own merits too...
