Chapter 16
by Aseari
Who do we follow?
Erin is taken on tour.
Xemina pulled Erin by the lead down the other hall in the three way intersection.
"Now that you are separated," she spoke, "I think it's time to show you just what your afterlife is, and what it could be."
Erin gulped as she kept up with the monster's pace. They stopped at a grand set of wooden double-doors made out of solid wood.
"Now, you must be curious. Your head must swim with thoughts. Go on, ask."
Erin could barely get a word out. She was stunned, everything almost happening too fast to process. Though one thing did stick. "Y-You said I died?"
"You did indeed," Xemina replied. "Seems like you were a goner the whole time. I'll alleviate any worries and tell you now that I didn't do anything to you, the blood clot did."
The words swirled in Erin's ears. "This is hell?"
"This is the hell I own, darling. Hell is different for different people. Some people get a white room for all eternity, some people get chased by dogs in a labyrinth while chained to others. It all really depends on the sinner or which of us demons gets dibs." Xemina put her hand under Erin's chin, gently stroking it. "Wanna know who my domain punishes? Who I am tasked to **** for all eternity with relish and Irony?"
There was a pause as Erin considered that. Did she want to know?
What does Xemina show her?
