Erica Talks to Lena

Suddenly Erica pushes you down onto the bed and gets off you. She then covers you under the sheets and hurriedly puts on her robe.

“Lena, my sweet. What are you doing here?” She kneels down to her young daughters level. Lena is supposed to be sleep at this hour.

“I had a bad dream so I came to your room and sleep with you. But I heard strange noises from outside and I thought you were in trouble so I came in. Mama, who is that man you are with and why were you both naked?”

“Sweetheart, could you be a good girl and close your eyes until I say you can open them again?”

Lena nods, “Ok, Mama.” She closes her eyes and covers them with her tiny hands.

Erica then pulls the sheets off you and hands you your robe before pushing you out the door. “Forgive me, my King.” Then she slams the door on your face.

Oh well. At least it saves you from having to hide while she explains certain things to her daughter.

You spend another week and a half in Falenwest organizing things and making sure of a smooth transition from independent Duchy to full annexation and to make sure Duchess Erica gets pregnant.

You get to know her little daughter too, a future older half-sister to your future child. She’s a good little girl who shows you proper respect.

While adding more land to your growing Kingdom is all well and good, you remind yourself of the dangers of progressing too quickly. While you still aim to take control of the Duchy of Rheinland, you won’t be annexing anymore for a while.
