"Afraid not," you reply. "I'm not very experienced, so haven't developed the fetish yet," you admit. You look out over the village, the lights of the hidden leaf shimmering below like a sea of embers. "The view is great," you say, turning your head to meet her gaze, "but it’s not the only reason we're up here."

Kurenai shifts closer, the silk of her clothes rustling against the mat. The playful spark is still there, but there’s a new vulnerability in how she watches you. "So, if the reason isn't for hedonistic fun," she murmurs, "Why are we here? Did you just bring me up here to look at the view and tell me I'm pretty again?"

You let out a short breath, your expression becoming more serious. "I brought you up here because this is the only place in the village where nobody is looking down on you. You reach out, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear. Her skin is warm now, the chill of the cemetery long gone.

"The real reason I’m doing this... the real reason I didn't just take what you offered at the apartment," you start, "is because I know what it’s like to have the whole village decide who you are before you even open your mouth. For years, I was just the 'demon brat' to them. To Sarutobi... to Asuma, you're someone to use. "But here, you're looking down on down, and you decide who you want to be."

Kurenai’s breath hitches. The professional mask she’s worn for years, the one she tried to replace with the mask of a prostitute tonight, finally crumbles completely. There’s a faint shimmer of moisture in her eyes, but she doesn't turn away.

"You really are too good for this village, Naruto," she whispers, her hand coming up to rest over yours, pressing your palm against her face. "But don't think for a second that I’ve forgotten about the 'fun' part. If anything, you’ve just made the 'bill' for tonight much, much higher."

She shifts, moving to straddle your lap, her hands resting on your shoulders as she looks down at you. The distance between you disappears. "I'm wet right now, Naruto. If we're not really going to do it on your father's head, maybe we should head back to the apartment now."
